CHRISTMAS IN THE SUN 🌞 A REMINDER THAT LIFE DOESN'T ALWAYS FIT THE SCRIPT! I’m writing this from sunny Fuerteventura, where the Christmas decorations are already up.🎄 Twinkling lights, tinsel, and festive displays are in full swing. It's beautiful, but I must admit—it feels a little surreal. Especially when back home its wet and cold and yet the temperature here suggests sandals rather than scarves.☔️ It got me thinking about how life can feel out of sync sometimes and different contexts can influence how we experience things. For example, grief and loss, often show up in unexpected ways and at unexpected times. Just as a Christmas tree in the tropics might feel out of place, navigating loss or transition can sometimes feel at odds with the world around us, especially when everyone else seems to be celebrating.🤔 What helps us make sense of these contrasts? For me, it’s about stopping to acknowledge them, letting them be what they are, and finding ways to move forward with care and kindness for ourselves.💕 These moments often lead to powerful conversations—whether it’s about resilience, well-being, or simply how we’re feeling. Have you ever had a moment of contrasts that made you stop and reflect? Or felt something out of step with the world around you? I’d love to hear your thoughts below⬇️ #grief #loss #balance #reflection

🎄'' Christmas can be perfect, but it usually isn’t. ''🎄 We often look forward to Christmas thinking: "this year it’ll be lovely," only to end up overwhelmed. Balancing our expectations and reality can be tough, especially with chronic pain. 💡 Expectations: Joy, love, sharing, cosy family time. 💡 Reality might include: Stress, too many obligations, doing too much, and flare-ups. 🫶 Be kind to yourself and remember: it's okay if it's not perfect. 📖🔎 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eSE-CrVd #ChristmasReality #Stress #SelfCare #ChronicPain #Christmas #PainManagement

When something breaks, there’s always something new around the corner 💔 I’m a bit of a sensitive one when it comes to things that people buy for me. I was after one of these spoons for a long time and got given it for Christmas. I smiled to myself as I opened the wrapping 😊 I’ve used it every day since and I love the fact that something so small can bring light to my day every time I look at it! But the other day I picked it up and it broke in my hands 😞 I was gutted… Something that probably cost a couple of quid made me stop and think about the small things in our lives which give us pleasure. We live. Laugh. Love. When we’re doing the things we enjoy, that gives us pleasure, and can help others in the process - we can smile. Sometimes there are hiccups along the road and sometimes the process breaks, but sticking to the plan and pressing on towards the goal helps us to stay focused and in tune with what we’re supposed to be doing. When something breaks, there’s always another way - I t’s our way of knowing that there’s something better out there! The little things in life 💖 I hope you’ve had a good day, whatever you’ve been up to. It’s Wednesday *hump day* - so I hope that you’re able to smile at the things you’re doing and know that you’re doing a good job 👍 Keep smiling. Keep going. Keep your eyes on the goal and take joy in the benefits. #joy #keepsmiling #positivemindset #dreambig #positivethoughts #businessowner #thelittlethingsinlife
