This is a massive team recognition for Ei Square®! Grateful for everyone's contribution to this journey. I would like to talk about 5 beliefs and practices, though there are more, over these five years that has stood the test of time. 👩💻 Listen and work on all feedback - I have always taken any feedback,(especially negative ones) in a positive way. Thinking of the bigger picture, and understanding the core purpose of the feedback? 🏆 Failure is one step towards success - This is not something I just say, I have in numerous occasions in the past 5 years have actually practiced it. Asking feedback from failed RFP submissions and making sure I revisit the feedback in the next one and address them all. 🤨 Start any conversation from a position of trust - Even though this belief of mine has been challenged number of times, I stick by this. I learn from the occasions and people who exploited my expertise and realise that the world is made of good and bad, mostly good. 👍 Build Relationships - Prioritize building genuine, human connections over transactional interactions. 🚶♀️ One step at a time - Focus on the next immediate step and do all that needs to be done to make that step a successful one. Time to reflect on this week's South Yorkshire International Trade Conference. Led by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce with the expertise of Sheffield International Trade Centre-SITC, this years conference saw us host over 135 delegates from across the UK and Europe, all with the common mission of expanding their international trade aspirations. Providing a space for collaboration and knowledge sharing, key discussion points included Brexit and CBAM, customs duties and import taxes, quicker access to export finance, and accelerating growth in international markets, all with an impending change of UK government. As a region, we all agreed it's vitally important that we support the ambitions of our world-renowned manufacturers and exporters, alongside the burgeoning sectors of Ed Tech, Med Tech, and Clean Tech. A joined-up approach from key regional stakeholders is pivotal to providing sustained economic growth through key initiatives such as the Investment Zone.
