“I've got to nominate Amanda Farren for the incredible job she’s done with our sustainability initiative at Consensus. Not only has she pushed us all to think greener and be more eco-friendly, but she’s also the brain behind our awesome sustainability branding. Her work has seriously cut down our environmental impact and made sustainability a big part of who we are as a company. Amanda's approach isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about making real change and showing everyone in our industry how it’s done. Her passion and the results she’s achieved are nothing short of inspiring. Amanda’s the real deal in leading us toward a greener future, and her efforts are something we’re all super proud of.” *Wipes away the snot and blubber* What an honour to have won The Sustainability Leader Award sponsored by Octopus Networks Ltd and presented by the wonderful Kevin Watts. I cannot wait to share more about what we’re doing to build a more sustainable future at Consensus very soon. But for now… 🧡 I’d like to thank my mum, for telling me I am amazing and beautiful so often as a wee one, I still believe it today 😂 💚 I’d like to thank my kids for existing, which led me down this unexpected career path. 💙 I’d like to thank my partner for pretending to listen to my wild ideas and saying they’re great (and for putting my trophy on the mantlepiece). 💛 I’d like to thank my Consensus colleagues for letting me roll with the punches and always believing in me - with a special shout out to Paula Keys 💜 And I’d like to thank our amazing Rhys Hughes for the nomination. You made my day 🐠, my week, and my year. Because when you surround yourself with the right people, who build you up and don’t tear you down – who have so much confidence in you that you’ll never doubt it yourself - that’s when the magic happens, folks. One great human at a time. #SustainabilityLeader #OneStepAtATime #TeamConsensus

Congratulations to Prager Metis UK for achieving an impressive Silver CSR Accreditation. Great work by Simon Winters and the team for an impressive application. The CSR Accreditation Four Pillar Framework has empowered Prager Metis to structure its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts more effectively. Weekly staff meetings facilitated communication, fostering participation in Pillar Teams. These teams, comprising employees across various roles—from Operations staff to Directors—brought diverse perspectives and ideas to the table. This collaborative approach has sparked innovation and personal development. Team members gained new skills, built relationships, and felt more engaged through opportunities to give back. The firm has also grown, learning to measure and reduce its environmental impact, strengthening ties with the local community, and recognising the value of volunteering alongside financial contributions. These efforts not only benefited external stakeholders but also boosted staff morale and created a formal feedback loop to ensure employee voices are heard. In just two years, Prager Metis has made significant strides and eagerly anticipates continuing its impactful CSR journey. A CSR Accreditation can help your organisation set better goals, make better decisions, and improve relationships. You can use your CSR Accreditation to address ESG compliance, prepare for the race to net zero, build a culture that empowers employees to do environmental and social good, attract new talent, win tenders, and enhance brand reputation. We did it! We have successfully recertified as a B Corp, following our initial certification in 2021. Our score has improved to 112.6 (up from 99.7)! Gaining recertification was not a given, and it required an 8 month runway from evidence gathering, to BIA completion, to the detailed verification stages. Three years ago we said becoming a B Corp was our proudest collective achievement to date... and three years later this still stands. A real team effort was applied, with contributions from us all. I would argue this is how it has to be for purpose and sustainability to be felt within an organisational culture. Shout out to our resident B Leader Catalina Ticau who saw this over the line when I went on maternity leave; to Perry Timms for exemplifying purposeful leadership; to Katy Stanley for meticulously compiling the most detailed of evidence on our scope 3; to Maddy Woodman for drafting and amending internal processes that needed considered updating; and to Hannah Rogers for coming in to the fold and putting a systems thinking lens on sustainability. Personally, I am thrilled that my wee spin-out ARC. A Regenerative Culture. contributed to our recertification, passing as an impact based business model. Here's to the next three -more- impactful years, and beyond in this community where business can be used as a force for good. #certifiedbcorp #bcorp #purposefirst #esg #impact #businessasaforceforgood #SME #goodgovernance #blabuk

As the world becomes increasingly aware of the environmental and social impacts of business operations, enterprises are integrating sustainable solutions into their day-to-day functions to reduce their footprint and contribute to a more responsible economy. In a recent interview with The French American Chamber of Commerce's Texas chapter, Nisar AHAMAD, VP and Head of Industries and Sustainability at Capgemini Engineering, shares the technological innovations that have contributed to sustainable development. "Many organizations are developing a clear sustainability strategy that aligns with their overall business goals," he says. "These roadmaps outline specific objectives for reducing environmental impact and improving social responsibility in alignment with federal and state-level goals and mandates." Great insights, Nisar!
