Vision and Commitments: Rith 2.0, inspired by the Vedas and Upanishads, has been shaping a harmonious agricultural model for ten years. This platform enables market-led, climate-resilient solutions, connecting farmers, corporations, and development agencies to secure a thriving agricultural future. 2. Impactful Partnerships: We have partnered with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government Of Assam , India, utilizing their warehousing infrastructure to cut food loss by 7% and conserve vital resources. Our collaboration with Bayer | Crop Science, IRRI, KVKs, and universities in Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Assam has engaged 1,000+ farmers in adopting climate-resilient practices to reduce GHG emissions. 3. Technological Advancements: Launching 200 Smart FPOs has transformed traditional FPOs into technology-driven bodies that enhance crop management and market access, marking a significant leap towards modernizing agriculture. A successful stakeholder meeting was held with over 80 participants in 5 Developmental Blocks (Asafpur, Islamnagar, Ambiapur, Bisauli and Sahaswan) of Badaun District, Uttar Pradesh, including prominent stakeholders such as local farmers, Jal-Sakhi, Jal-Mitra, Gram Pradhan of respective Gram Panchayats and Assistant Development Officer (ADO PANCHAYAT) and ADO (Agriculture), ADO (Plant Protection) & Forest ranger officer (Bisauli region)   The stakeholder meetings are key in aligning vision, addressing concerns, and fostering collaboration among all participants to ensure effective project implementation. It also creates a platform for sharing local insights and challenges, which allows us to better tailor interventions and overcome potential risks. By bringing together diverse voices, we are paving the way for a sustainable and water-secure future for our farming communities. #Urvarasa farmers Ramhari & Laxman Kadam have created a niche for themselves in the natural toor dal market. However, this year the incessant rains have damaged the toor seeds and damped their aspirations. Not that they made big profits from the toor sales but #Urvarasa does ensure fair compensation for the hard work of the farmer. As per #Urvarasa values, we encourage the farmer to adopt mixed cropping practices that have undeniably proven to be resilient to the effects of climate change as well as ensure that the farmer is not left with a total crop loss, unlike farmers who practice the conventional mono-cropping practices. Farmers in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district have adopted Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques to grow chillies. However, they face challenges in accessing broader markets and getting fair prices for their produce due to limited bargaining power and local market limitations. By partnering with village-level entrepreneurs, we've established a direct market channel for IPM chillies in Karnataka and Hyderabad. This has enabled processors to purchase 55MT of high-quality chillies directly from these farmers. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫  At Pragya, we believe in the power of #community-led climate action. Within a span of two days- we reached farmers across S24 Parganas in West Bengal & Sonitpur in Assam, both situated in Eastern India, through our four biannual Climate Smart Agricultural Conclaves. These areas frequently face #flooding and other natural calamities, such as #cyclones, as well as occasional #drought-like conditions and heat waves. Through hands-on learning and interactive sessions, farmers developed the skills to tackle the increasing challenges of climate change, including unpredictable monsoons and extended dry spells. Together, we explored sustainable farming methods like #intercropping, mixed cropping, and stress-tolerant crops while also focusing on #organic seed treatment and integrated nutrient management. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: - Practical modules on #Dapog nurseries, #hydroponics, and poly mulching were taught. Tools like the Happy Seeder, paddy Transplanter and Hand Ridger were demonstrated along with multi-crop ridger planter and solar-powered sprayers. - Climate-Smart Agriculture Conclaves achieved an impressive 53% participation from women, empowering female farmers with opportunities in vegetable farming and vermicomposting for sustainable income generation. To overcome geographical barriers and ensure broader participation, especially for those in remote areas, we conducted these training sessions online as well. The result? Increased #awareness, better adaptation techniques, and stronger climate-resilient communities. We are proud of the farmers leading this #transformation.
