🌟 Exciting news! 🌟 Soil Association Scotland is delighted to have been awarded #KTIF funding to deliver Planning for Change: A Whole Farm Approach. The programme will highlight how #WholeFarmPlans can be translated into integrated, sustainable practices and demonstrate how a whole farm approach – as featured in The Scottish Government’s Vision for Agriculture – can help deliver on #ClimateAndNature goals 🌍. "The Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund (KTIF) will allow us to support farms and crofts across Scotland to share knowledge to build resilience, improve sustainability and restore nature.” Colleen McCulloch, Senior Farming Programmes Manager    The project will also explore how the Whole Farm Planning (WFP) framework can be used to transition towards more regenerative and agroecological approaches, supporting uptake and implementation.    Whole farm planning can provide a decision-making framework that takes the entire holding and its assets into consideration, integrating the different enterprises on farm and making the most of available resources – which can deliver environmental and economic co-benefits. 🌿We believe that continuous engagement with stakeholders and effectively communicating the benefits of #agroforestry are crucial for achieving broader support. 🌱 Recently, our partners Simon Swatek, representing ReForest, and Marcos Jiménez Martínez from #ABCDR, participated in meeting of the Agroforestry and Agricultural Woody Structures Working Group, part of the Small Farmers Association (#AbL) in Germany. 🌐The virtual event brought together #AbL members and experts from diverse sectors, including practical farming 🚜, arboriculture 🌳, nature conservation 🌾, and agricultural research 📚. 📊🌳 While #ABCDR highlights the biophysical potential of trees in agriculture as carbon sinks, ReForest focuses on various paths to foster #agroforestry adoption across Europe and ways to overcome existing barriers. 🌍During this engaging session, Simon and Marcos introduced ReForest and #ABCDR projects.
