For the first time ever, World’s Toughest Mudder, will be descending on European shores, as the pinnacle of obstacle course events debuts in the UK. Coming from its usual location in the U.S., this event is not for the faint of heart. It is the most extreme, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping 24-hour obstacle course challenge on the planet. Breaking away from conventional mass participation events, Tough Mudder is the undisputed leader in extreme obstacle course races. With a host of events all over the UK for all ages over a variety of distances, nothing comes close to the World’s Toughest Mudder - an event that promises to redefine the boundaries of endurance, unleashing a challenge that will leave participants questioning and shattering their limits. Thanks to a steady growth in the Tough Mudder brand and a renewed excitement for large scale obstacle events, the bucket list challenge will be coming to Belvoir Castle, Grantham - home of the Tough Mudder Midlands https://lnkd.in/eCWGZzi2 #News

Excited to get the new season rolling and get back on the start line! After unfortunate injuries from Redlands and the termination of the NCL, I am coming back to training, building exciting new partnerships, and looking toward Unbound for my comeback race. Tackling Unbound after less than ideal prep is no doubt very intimidating. This race will require mental flexibility and holding expectations loosely. However, my story of last season is inspiring me to continue showing up and toeing the line with zero expectations except to face a mental and physical challenge and give myself an opporuntity to surprise myself. While my current preparation is far from where I'd like it to be, this is a unique opporuntity to connect with the mass participants of these off road events who may not have the support or ability for perfect preparation or a perfect bike set up. It is an opportunity to tell a story that can inspire people who may doubt themselves that they can also show up to the challenge of these events despite perceived barriers. The professionalism of gravel is exciting and I recognize I am in that group of professionals, but I am also someone who has "run what they brung" in the past and embraced the underdog mentality of gravel (dare I say the spirit of gravel). I see gravel as a physical and mental challenge that now has a competitive side that fuels exciting performances and innovation. Unbound for me will be a challenge, one that may be too big, but I am committed to showing up because if that can inspire one person to tackle a challenge in their own lives than it is worth it.

Some of the comments about Tim Marovt and his INCREDBILE achievements both in his recovery from a spinal cord injury and in his *multiple* marathon completions are not a vibe. First and foremost, Tim is a true testament to resilience, dedication and the power of mindset - he is an inspiration. But this is where I caveat, he's not an inspiration because of his challenges, but rather in spite of his challenges. Comments like "Does anyone want to moan about how hard their day looks today? Let’s get on with it, and be thankful." Are not supportive, motivational or inspirational. They are derogatory and potentially harmful. If you have to focus on someone else's challenges or struggles to give yourself a boost, you have some work to do on yourself. When you speak about disabled people this way it invalidates their experience, their contributions, their existence even. Comments like this minimise struggles and promote toxic positivity whilst reinforcing ableism. You should be deriving inspiration from his commitment, tenacity, and unrivalled drive, not comparing abilities.

A message for today’s London Marathon runners (and for anyone needing a bit of inspiration right now): Have you seen this video of Tim Marovt? Tim was told he'd never walk again. Yet, there he is, crossing the finish line of a marathon. Let that one sink in for a moment. Tim's story is a powerful reminder that the human spirit is capable of extraordinary things. So, if that self-doubt creeps in, channel your inner ‘Tim’. Every early morning run, every hurdle overcome - that's your strength. Remember the journey that brought you to this very starting line. This is YOUR moment to shine ✨

1 Corinthians 9:24 AMP Do you not know that in a race all the runners run [their very best to win], but only one receives the prize? Run [your race] in such a way that you may seize the prize and make it yours! You can't be tired now Royal, you are in a race to fulfill your purpose here on earth so that you can receive your prize at the end, run aiming to win. Don't be careless on your journey and run aimlessly, you are not wasting your time, energy, and resources by doing all you do daily. Take yourself seriously and take what you do seriously too. #RunToWin Think of all the things you have done, prayers and fastings you have made, investment of your time, money, energy, and resources, investment of the word of God, and every other activity you have involved yourself in do you want everything to go to waste? #Win Your labor can't be in vain Royal, run to win the prize, imagine the pain of running only to give up and let someone else take the crown that was meant for you. Don't give up on your business, job, organization, ministry, purpose, or career keep going. #RunToGetThePrize #AnInspirationForYou #WithRatieShalom #MondayInspiration #DailyInspirations #Run #RunToWinThePrize #YouAreInARaceRoyal #DontBeTired #DontGiveUp #Focus #Winner

Mostly my posts are about my work at Mazars (Mazars in Germany) but I think it’s good to show sometimes what people are doing besides their main job. A few months ago I started with Concept Runners. An initiative for motivating people to start or keep moving, running especially. An idea originated during the covid period, when people were stuck to their homes, in need for motivation to go out. I organised challenges and started a local running community called ‘Viaanse Lopers’. Not the best name for going international, so Concept Runners was born. The essention is in the name. Creating running concepts to make run more fun, motivation to go out 💪🏻 Today I started a new challenge, the U-Bahn challenge. A very simple idea, but with good visualisation a big motivator! Those challenges can be done individually but also in groups of friends or colleagues. Do you want to motivate your employees? Let me know, we sit down and see what fits in your organisation. ‘Could we virtually run to all our locations across Germany, or maybe Europe? Which team/departmenr/location wins?’ 😏🏃🏼
📢 „Bitte alle aussteigen“ - Today we do the U-Bahn Challenge in Munich! 🏃🏼A good motivation for every runner! How does it work? 1. Put your running clothes on 2. Choose your U-Bahn line or random stations 3. Go for your run (don’t forget to track your run with Strava) 4. Send us your run via WhatsApp or website 5. … be a little patient 6. Check your personal map 🥳 Are you or is your organisation interested in the challenge? Let us know. We will create personal pages, including leaderboards, where you can track the progress. Wanna challenge your friends or colleagues? Also not a problem! This challenge has been developed for Munich now, but let us know which city you live or work and we will create the challenge! Check www.conceptrunners.com for more information! We are here to motivate and make run fun!
