HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK! 🙌🏼 I got to meet A LOT of human beings, IN PERSON! Cool ones too, the passionate about changing the world, type of folk. Seriously, RE+ was amazing, how fitting it was so close to Disneyland, as it did feel like the most magical place on earth. It was inspiring to see all the amazing work going on throughout the clean energy landscape. It was also encouraging to hear so many leaders share that, whilst the year has not been without challenges, businesses have been thriving in our space. I was thrilled about the feedback of the value I was bringing in assisting them, as they scale their teams to keep up with their growth demands. Finding utility-scale solar/BESS experienced technical SME's in SCADA/EMS/ADMS/DERMS systems was such a common struggle for many. So, it genuinely made me happy that the introductions I made to my network, helped make their lives easier and their business goals achievable. Plus, the cafe did a solid iced matcha. What more could you possibly ask for in life... Attending RE+ and meeting so many dynamic leaders whom I could help (if you're one of them and we didn't connect, DM me!) was my highlight. What was yours? #HR #hiring #recruiting #renewables #renewableenergy #EMS #SCADA #RE+

The Renewable Energy recruitment scene is like trying to build a solar farm in a thunderstorm - challenging, but not impossible. Recently, we received a request for a candidate in South America with extensive renewable energy experience, fluent in both the local language AND Chinese. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack, but the needle also needs to be bilingual. We're often tasked with finding candidates possessing niche technical skills, multiple language proficiencies, and a willingness to relocate to remote areas. Renewable energy recruitment in 2024 is facing a perfect storm of skills shortages, rapid industry changes, and ambitious expectations. The key to navigating this lies in: 1. Strategic workforce planning 2. Innovative recruitment solutions 3. Collaborative expectation management Remember, while we may not have magic wands, we do have the expertise to tackle these challenges creatively. Let's work together to find realistic solutions that drive the industry forward. Scarlet Lee Barathan Sreedharan Ryan Dennis Lim Samantha Ee (余芯) Ariel Ong Subhradip Sikdar Tif L. Remote Energy's mission is squarely centered on tackling pressing challenges by bolstering the solar capabilities of underserved communities while striving to amplify the representation of marginalized groups within the skilled solar workforce. Our particular emphasis is on meeting the demand for solar energy in Indigenous communities, where renewable energy sources hold the potential for a substantial positive impact. Additionally, we are dedicated to empowering Native American women and men, actively supporting their journey toward becoming proficient members of the solar energy workforce. Here’s our Remote Energy Program Strategy: 1. Solar Education and Training - Remote Energy offers customized solar curricula and hands-on training, providing community members with the skills to enter and excel in the growing solar industry. Training includes workshops, structured coursework, and practical sessions led by certified PV Installers and PV Master Trainers. We emphasize cultural sensitivity, ensuring that training is accessible, relevant, and aligned with the unique needs of Native American communities. 2. Job Placement Support - We bridge the gap between education and employment by advocating for working with local solar companies and workforce development organizations to facilitate job placements. Our advocacy for the inclusion of Native Americans in the solar workforce supports diversity and creates economic opportunities within Indigenous communities. 3. Environmental Sustainability - Through our training, we equip participants with the skills to implement and maintain solar systems, promoting clean energy solutions and sustainable practices. This contributes to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and empowers communities to adopt environmentally responsible energy practices. https://lnkd.in/g4DZK_zj #RemoteEnergy #NativeAmerican #program #solar #training #education
