Did You Know? Here are the fundamental differences between Charged Couple Device (CCD) sensors and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) sensors: All the pixels in CCD image sensors are exposed to incident light (photons) at the same time and convert photos into electrons. The resulting electrical charge is then transferred to a horizontal shift register and a floating diffusion amplifier to create a voltage output. They offer low noise, high dynamic range, medium-range frame rates, and are subject to smearing. In CMOS sensors, incident light is exposed to one pixel row at a time where they are converted into electrons. CMOS sensors have amplifiers in each pixel, resulting in lower power consumption and faster processing of signals. The exposure charge is then converted into a voltage and later into a digital signal using an on-chip Analog to Digital Converter (ADC). The battery solution is completed and ready for the next stage — the development of production technologies. -SK hynix announces the world's first HBM3E 16-Hi memory with a capacity of 48 GB — next-generation PCIe 6.0 SSD drives. -The startup Physical Intelligence received funding in the amount of $ 400 million, the company's valuation increased to $ 2.4 billion. The round was attended by technology giants and venture capital firms, including Thrive Capital, Lux Capital, Khosla Ventures and Sequoia Capital, as well as Bezos and OpenAI. The company has introduced its pi-zero model for controlling general-purpose robots.
