This #WAMentalHealthWeek we embrace the theme - Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces: A journey towards investing in our mental health. We encourage everyone to take this chance to learn more about mental health and help break down the stigma around mental health challenges. This important week aims to increase mental wellbeing in WA communities by: ⭐ Encouraging each of us to support and look out for one another. ⭐ Promoting mental health literacy – learning the ‘language’ of expressing feelings, good and bad; and ⭐ Continuing to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce the stigma that can be associated with seeking help. World Mental Health Day was first observed in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH). World Mental Health Day 2024 is a global observance dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, reducing stigma, and promoting mental well-being. This year’s theme is prioritizing mental health in the workplace. At Teen Action and Support Center, we recognize the importance of mental well-being and promote “reflection days” for staff throughout the year. We know being in a healthy mental state allows us to operate at our best in empowering teens. We also offer low-to-no cost mental health counseling and resources for teens and their families through our Restore program because it’s okay to not be okay. We are here to help. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotAlone #WellBeing #MindfulLiving

🌎 World Mental Health Day reminds us all to prioritise mental well-being. In schools, workplaces, and everyday life, it’s vital to create environments where people feel safe to seek help and where mental health resources are easily accessible. I’m proud to be a part of the ASPbelong Project, an intervention dedicated to improving young people's mental health by fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness - key factors in building resilience and well-being. Let’s continue breaking the stigma through important conversations and support for mental health initiatives. Whether it’s checking in on a friend, advocating for better services, or practicing self-care, every action counts. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma

What does mental health means to you? WHO explains that mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. In order to do this, it's important to prioritize self-care, empathy and destigmatization. At Walkers, we encourage colleagues to reach out, listen and support each other. This week I have followed one of tips shared by our mental health first aiders in HK - Sue Warner, and learnt the power of peer support in supporting a good state of mental health. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters
On World Mental Health Day, we’re joining the global conversation on looking after your mental health at work. Demands can be high in the legal sector, but so is our commitment to creating a supportive and open environment for our team. From trained mental health first aiders to wellbeing e-learning courses, we’re focused on fostering a culture where mental health is prioritised. We want every team member to have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. Let’s continue to break down stigmas, encourage honest conversations and make mental health a priority every day of the year. #WorldMentalHealthDay #WellbeingatWork #DEI
