"Celebrating Pakistani Teachers: Champions of Dedication, Growth, and Meaningful Student Connections" "In a world of limited resources, it's not the tools we lack but the belief in our students' potential that truly shapes the future. Aasia Rehman transformed an outdated computer lab into a hub of creativity and independent learning—proving that with determination, even the smallest steps can lead to powerful change. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every student deserves the chance to discover their own strength.” Aasia Rehman, a young and passionate teacher in Peshawar, stood outside the small, dimly lit computer lab of her school, her heart filled with both excitement and determination. She had been teaching English to Class 4 and 5 for a while, but things had taken a new turn when she enrolled in the Cambridge Certification for Teaching with Digital Technologies. The certification came with a challenge—integrating digital tools into her lessons. The only hurdle? The outdated computers in the school’s tiny lab, with screens flickering and keyboards worn down from years of use. But Aasia wasn’t the type to be discouraged. She believed in a growth mindset—every challenge was an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to transform her classroom into a space of possibility. With her determination fueling her, she started planning how to turn this aging lab into a hub of independent learning for her students. #tobecontinued #InspiringTeachers #TeachingWithPassion #GrowthMindset #PakistaniEducators #DigitalLearning #FutureOfEducation #EmpowerStudents #LearningBeyondLimits #CambridgeCertification #EdTechForAll #ResilientTeachers #InnovativeTeaching #PeshawarTeachers

Today, while teaching the class, my students and I decided that we would not write a general point of view on the topic 'Perspectives of Educational Technology in India.' We reached a consensus that we would explore the present situations during the time of NEP 1986 and NEP 2020 and the recent implementations of NEP 2020. We thought, why not read the NCERT document 'Positional Paper on Educational Technology 2006' and see what the scope of educational technology in India was until 2006. After doing all this, we realized how much there is to explore and write about. Together, we created a framework of headings and decided that we would write two pages by the next class. As a lecturer, this class inspires me. This subject, educational technology, always teaches me something new. In every class, I get asked a question that I go and study before the next class, and we discuss it together. I don't know why, but being a lecturer is pretty cool! From textbooks to novels, paper is a catalyst for learning, creativity and critical thinking. As digital media continues to evolve, paper and its role in literacy remain unbeatable. "Somewhere I found that slowly the idea of studying to learn changed to studying to get marks," said Damayanti Bhattacharya on Thinkly Talks. She is an AP and IGCSE certified teacher for Global Perspectives, currently the principal of JML School, with over 30 years of experience shaping the education landscape. She joins Higher Education Consultant Vijay Sonawane - Higher Education Consultant to explore the current state of India's education system. Here are the top 5 takeaways from their conversation: 🏫 India’s education system isn’t broken, but outdated: While the system has functioned for decades, its delivery method needs a revamp. Young educators with fresh ideas should be involved in designing curricula. 💡 Vocational training needs to be normalized: Vocational education is undervalued. Removing the stigma around non-academic careers and establishing quality regional colleges for practical skills training is crucial. 🎯 Memorization vs. Metacognition: Education focuses too much on memorization for exams. The real gap is in metacognition—teaching students how to think and learn, a crucial skill missing in today's system. 🌍 India's research and innovation lag: The higher education system lacks focus on research, particularly in basic sciences. More funding and resources are needed to foster world-class innovations. 🌱 Adaptability in a VUCA world: In a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world, students must be taught flexibility and adaptability—skills that the traditional education system often overlooks. They also discussed: ⏩ Impact of social media on student focus and motivation ⏩ How outdated teacher training impacts classroom innovation ⏩ The role of mental health support in boosting student performance ⏩ Why curriculum flexibility can unlock hidden student talents https://lnkd.in/dau6nsz4 (education system reform, critical thinking in students, marks vs learning, modern education challenges, vocational training in India, outdated education methods, politicizing education, higher education research, flexible curriculum, student mental health support, teacher training reform, metacognition in education, future of Indian education, adaptability in students, VUCA world education) #thinkly #thinklytalks #ama #podcast #livestreaming #experts #community #educationreform #modernlearning #futureofeducation #studentwellbeing #vocationaleducation #teachertips #learningmindset #highereducationinnovation #curriculumchange #21stcenturyskills #emotionalintelligence #adaptablelearning #youthleadership

🛑I recently explored research papers on [Wiley Online Library](https://lnkd.in/gMmxAAmH) and was curious to see which educational institutions in India provide access to such valuable resources. I discovered that 'INFLIBNET' is one of them. 🛑During my visit to the INFLIBNET website, I came across e-Pathshala, an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT), executed by the UGC. This platform offers approximately 22,000 subjects at the postgraduate level, complete with relevant notes and video lectures. 🛑Intrigued, I watched one of these lectures on YouTube, hoping to see how many people in India are utilizing this initiative to genuinely enhance their knowledge. To my surprise, I found very little engagement. It seems our focus on survival has overshadowed our pursuit of knowledge for its own sake. Education is increasingly being seen merely as a means to secure livelihood, rather than a pursuit of intellectual growth. 🛑This trend underscores a significant challenge for India: the need to rely on technology from other countries. It’s a poignant reminder of the importance of nurturing a genuine love for learning in our society. https://lnkd.in/gpssmupm https://lnkd.in/gBKR5-DH #India #education #government #epathshala #pg #postgraduate #graduate #library #research
