In the #recruitment and #talentacquisition world, August is usually one of the quieter periods with hiring managers on holidays, and clients holding off signatures until the Autumn. I like to use this time well and think forwards without the time pressures my role can so often be put against. Therefore I am keen to speak to my #salesforce network if you are thinking of a change of role over the next couple of quarters, some career advice and pathways, or anything related to the #salesforcetalentalliance. No hard sell (I try not to come across like this anyway!), just a good old-fashioned conversation about the current market and your career aspirations/choices. Drop me a message and we can get something arranged 😊.

As a Salesforce recruiter, this is the time of year where I'm often asked... 'Should I be looking for a new job now or shall I just wait to the New Year?' The perception is that hiring managers switch off completely, focus on end of year tasks or are simply unresponsive until January - but what is the reality? 1) Hiring is still happening! While some companies certainly slow down this time of year, others are under pressure to finalise placements by year end to hit the ground running in Q1. December can be a surprisingly active time for recruitment, especially for roles linked to critical projects or implementations. 2) It's a time to stand out! Fewer candidates are actively job hunting in December, thinking it's not the right time. For those who are applying, this can mean less competition and a higher chance of your profile being noticed. 3) Communication may be slower... but rarely non existent! It's true that hiring managers might take annual leave or juggle competing priorities... but this doesn't mean they're not interested. Patience and persistence are key over the Christmas period. 4) Relationship building now, pays off later on! Even if a role isn't being filled right now, December is an excellent time to network and build relationships. Hiring managers and recruiters often use this quieter time to plan ahead, meaning a connection today could lead to an opportunity in Jan. My advice for candidates: - Stay proactive - Be patient - Focus on readiness - Leverage your recruiter The Salesforce ecosystem never truly sleeps... and neither do career opportunities - so whilst it might feel slower, it might be the perfect moment to level up! #salesforce #candidates #candidateadvice #hiring #techjobs #jobsintech #hiring #salesforcerecruiter #salesforcerecruitment

Let’s face it: finding a job in the Salesforce ecosystem is tougher than ever, especially for career changers and entry-level professionals. Yet, there’s so much talent out there that we, as hiring managers, would kill for once the market shifts again. How do we break the vicious cycle of hiring based solely on certifications or years of experience? Consider focusing on the following Trailblazer characteristics and you, job seekers, make sure you highlight them as much as possible: 👉 Work experience outside of Salesforce that translates well, including your transferable skills 👉 Showing attitude, determination, energy and communication skills using creative forms like a video instead of a cover letter 👉 Great preparation for an interview with a solid elevator pitch (check out this Trailhead module https://lnkd.in/e-f8dfPi) 👉 Participation in the Trailblazer Community, investing in networking and ability to build relationships 👉 Actively skilling up on Trailhead, Clicked or other learning platforms as a demonstration of continuous professional development Based on my experience, these traits can set individuals up for success in certain roles even more than a long list of certifications. Give it a thought, too! #trailblazercommunity #trailblazers #salesforce

Navigating the Salesforce Career Reset - Opportunities Amid Challenges The recent shakeup in the Salesforce job market, marked by a steady stream of layoffs earlier in the year at Salesforce itself, has left many professionals questioning their next career move. However, experts argue that this reset presents unique opportunities for those willing to adapt and upskill. "While the job market has become more competitive for individuals, the demand for specialised Salesforce talent remains healthy," explains Theresa Durrant, a career coach specialising in the Salesforce ecosystem. "Salesforce experts who focus on niche expertise and practical experience are very successful at landing their next job." For those navigating this new landscape, consider the following strategies: Specialise: Focus on mastering specific Salesforce products, such as data cloud or industry verticals. Recent job reports show that employers are increasingly seeking specialists over generalists. Embrace AI and automation: As Salesforce incorporates more AI tools, professionals who understand these technologies are increasingly in demand. Hybrid is the new remote: More and more employers are focusing on bringing synergy to their teams, to help with knowledge share and team culture, and are favouring hybrid working over fully remote. Salesforce itself remains optimistic about the future. According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Salesforce are set to hire 3,300 new employees across sales, engineering and data cloud products, with CEO, Marc Benioff saying "While we've had to make some tough decisions, we're committed to innovation and growth. There's never been a more exciting time to be part of the Salesforce ecosystem." While the road ahead may be challenging, those who invest in their skills and remain resilient will find that the Salesforce job market continues to offer rewarding paths forward, providing both stable and growth opportunities. If you're looking for your next Salesforce opportunity, reach out to Resource On Demand. We've been recruiting for Salesforce customers, partners and ISVs since 2007. #SalesforceJobs #SalesforceCareers #JobMarket #NicheSkills #Upskill

Entry Level #Salesforce Job Landed 🎉 This is a DM I got over the weekend for another October 2024 #JobLanded 🙏 Life happened and it took longer than they expected to get all the way through the program and to the "Job Application Strategy" phase. Thanks to lifetime access this didn't impact their access to the program, coaches or support. ✅ Just 3 months after they started applying for roles they received the offer! 👏 They say the Talent Stacker Experience Project was the clearest impact for them because of the way it showed up in their interviews and impressed the team they were interviewing with! They also highlighted the importance of doing the ENTIRE program. Landing a job is like a puzzle, if skip just one piece the puzzle is incomplete and it shows as soon as you look at it. Make sure you have every single piece then you are the complete job ready candidate! To start your Salesforce career with completely free resources including a 5 Day Challenge, Salesforce Certification Course, Interview Prep Guide and a Networking Guide just comment "Interested" and I'll get them right over to you 🎉🎉🎉

#FridayMotivation Yes, YOU CAN find a great entry-level role in the Salesforce ecosystem ⭐ I was so happy when I learned Maria Śliska landed her dream job that I almost cried from joy. ❤️ Having talked to many of my mentees, the situation on the job market is indeed very challenging and highly competitive. Landing a new gig takes longer and requirements are higher than ever, even for junior positions. That is exactly the reason why I can't hold my excitement hearing about Maria finally breaking the curse of instant rejections, unsuccessful screenings, and disappointing news after a series of interviews. As a career-shifter coming from a non-IT background, Maria got inspired by all the impressive Salesforce career stories, jumped on Trailhead in the fall of 2022, and eventually passed her Admin certification. Slowly realising though, that getting an actual job will be neither easy, nor fast, she signed up for various Salesforce webinars, events, and courses to further upskill herself. The hard truth is that it has taken her a year and a half, fueled by her incredible eagerness, great passion, and vibrant energy. Here are Maria’s tips on what worked most for her: 👉 Build connections across the Salesforce community to learn about new opportunities and get referred 👉 Be active on LinkedIn and Trailblazer Community to show your worth and knowledge 👉 Sign up for Clicked to have some projects to talk about during interviews 👉 Attend Jodi Herbek’s DemoJam sessions to get inspired on what to build on Salesforce 👉 Craft your CV to the role you apply and directly approach the recruiter 👉 Stay positive, never give up, and believe it will happen—if I could do it, you can too #trailblazercommunity #trailblazers #salesforce #salesforceohana
