Evolving Warfare: From Exquisite Manned Aircraft to Affordable & Intelligent Drones “Prior to 2001, the United States was all about very expensive, exquisite, crewed platforms. Fighter jets, helicopters, you name it. Then from 2001 to 2020, we learned to fight with drones. Then from 2020 to now, and for the next 20 years, we're moving toward a world of intelligent, affordable drones." - Brandon Tseng Read more about how this shift is reshaping the battlefield from Axios' Colin Demarest https://lnkd.in/dguSY8vz The greatest victory requires no war. #GreatestVictory #DroneWarfare #UnmannedAircraft #DefenseTech

An UNPRECEDENTED EVENT NEVER MADE IT INTO THE MEDIA: For 17 days last December, a large drone swarm, each of the drones estimated to be between 20 - 40 pounds, overflew in a coordinated fashion and during the nighttime in Virginia sensitive military base and intelligence sites - for hours. The most disturbing thing: neither the military nor any other LEA was able to stop or at least catch one of them. There are a number of companies other there, including ours, who are technically capable to do just that. This leaves two options: either we are dealing with incompetence or with a technology that is far more developed than ours. Very disturbing.

The US Navy is using and continually evaluating machine learning algorithms that use sonar sensors to identify underwater shapes and traverse the ocean floor. Naval crews receive Ai sorted images, which they examine to identify enemy waterways or commercial shipping zones. The Navy has been able to reduce its crew size by 10 on operations that have been cut down to two days thanks to the AI and machine learning tools. #Optics #MachineVision #Drones #DefenseTechnology

Drone warfare has revolutionised battlefield it's now disrupting the global defence industry too?? The war in Ukraine has taken military use of unmanned vehicles to new hights, Ukraine alone make one million drone each year.Industrial and financial implications of this are profound. Traditional weapons programs takes years to develop, they relied on big government budgets, and large research facilities by contrast, drones are cheap, lethal and quick to make . They can also be modified with freshly downloaded AI-powered software.in wester countries, this has led to new companies challenging the big defense contractors ,such as lockheed martin or BEA systems, which have long dominated the sector, some have teamed up with the new comers other have bought them. It is not just industries that is changing. To keep up with their enemies , government are having to transform how they spend their multi-billion- dollars defense budget too #dronewarfare #drone #warfare #fpvdrone #kamikazidrone
