🌟 The SAUER Levante Series 🌟 The development of the SAUER Levante Series saw a new range of 3-stage air-cooled compressors tailored to the high requirements of international shipping: 🔹 Innovative Design: A newly developed CubeCooler, installed between motor and compressor, has optimised the airflow, reduced recooling temperatures by a third, and boosted inter-cooling efficiency. 🔹 Space Saving: Space is scarce onboard, which is why it is essential that ship technology is compact and can fit into any engine room with minimal interfaces. 🔹Easy operation: These low-maintenance compressors are easy to access, inspect and maintain. They also boast an exceptionally long operating life and enhanced safety features. Discover the unmatched reliability of the SAUER Levante here: https://lnkd.in/ei8CqfJT

We are developing a groundbreaking adaptive tire architecture that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in tires and tracks technology. Key Innovations are Dynamic Tread Adaptation and Retractable Paddle Systems, providing major improvements: - Adjusts to ground conditions in real-time, - Optimizes performance and energy consumption based on vehicle speed, - Enables efficient movement on soft terrains (sand, powder snow or heavy mud), - Allows for propulsion on water and underwater mobility. This revolutionary architecture isn't just about improving road performance; it's about redefining the very concept of mobility. Imagine a vehicle that can seamlessly transition from highway to off-road, and even traverse bodies of water - all with the same set of tires. We believe this technology will open up new possibilities for both civilian and specialized vehicle applications, from all-terrain exploration to emergency response and beyond. We shall unveil more details about this groundbreaking technology on LinkedIn in the coming weeks. However, I'm thrilled to share that several major industrial groups in the tire industry - and more broadly in land, water, and air transportation - have already signed confidentiality agreements with us and are actively exploring this technology. Stay tuned to our LinkedIn page for future updates as we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in tire technology and transportation solutions. We look forward to engaging with more potential partners and innovators as we work towards a future where vehicles can seamlessly transition between diverse terrains and even water environments. 🌀 Let's dive into the fascinating world of train wheels and uncover the secrets behind their ingenious design! 🤯✨ 🔍 Here are 7 key takeaways from the video: 1️⃣ Train wheels are tapered, with a gradually increasing diameter from the center to the outer edge, facilitating smooth locomotion. 2️⃣ The tapered design enables self-steering, allowing trains to navigate curves without additional steering mechanisms. 3️⃣ Outer wheels travel a greater distance than inner wheels on curves, necessitating a design that accommodates this difference. 4️⃣ The tapered shape ensures that outer wheels cover the extra distance smoothly, maintaining stability and preventing derailment. 5️⃣ This innovative design principle enhances safety and efficiency in railway systems worldwide. 6️⃣ Understanding the mechanics behind train wheels sheds light on the intricate engineering behind locomotion. 7️⃣ Appreciating the brilliance of train wheel design reminds us of the continuous innovation driving transportation technologies forward.

"Barnaby Wainfan designed a radically different lifting body light aircraft over 30 years ago, that exhibited superior performance in almost every metric: speed, lifting capacity, interior volume, stall performance and center of gravity tolerance. It’s also cheap and easy to build. His designs are much talked about at the annual Oshkosh fly in for aviation enthusiasts, yet major aircraft manufacturers seem to be allergic to his innovations..." So what's the issue? Click the link below for the full story: https://shorturl.at/zLM30

Predicting, and optimising asset performance (in either the design or operate phase), requires an intimate understanding of operational variables, their associated causes, and holistic understanding of consequences. 41 years ago this month, a 12m class yacht (Australia II) won the America’s Cup, with a revolutionary “winged” keel being a key factor in its winning. The winged keel design reduced tip vortex, a turbulence experienced in conventional keels from the pressure differential between the windward (low pressure) and leeward (high pressure) sides. The acknowledged designer of the winged keel, Ben Lexcen, having left school at 14, essentially learned skills such as hydrodynamics “on the job” through observing and optimising operational variables. He often remarked that Australia II is a “whole boat, not just a keel”. Modern aviation now uses “winglets” in a similar fashion! So, lesson for optimising asset performance – digitalisation provides some insight, however the real benefits stem from reconnecting people with equipment performance and the valuing of performance intimacy. https://lnkd.in/eq38pfXr

Five further size options have joined the Apollo Terra Pro range, widening its compatibility with construction equipment such as telescopic handlers, compact loaders and backhoe loaders. Apollo Tyres will now offer the Terra Pro series in the following new sizes: 340/80R20 Terra Pro 1044; 365/80R20 Terra Pro 1045; 405/70R24 Terra Pro 1045; 500/70R24 Terra Pro 1044; and 500/70R24 Terra Pro 1045. All Terra Pro tyres feature a steel belt and a tie bar for greater stability during loading and lifting. A sidewall protector complements the tyre’s cut and crack resistant compound to provide an increased level of robustness while working in mud or on debris. Terra Pro 1044 for soft surfaces The typical industrial traction pattern of the Terra Pro 1044 ensures traction on soft underfoot conditions like mud. The wide and V-shape ending of the lug in the centre part of the tread further improves stability whilst supporting a uniform wear pattern. Terra Pro 1044 (Image: Apollo Tyres) Terra Pro 1045 for hard surfaces The Terra Pro 1045 features a symmetrical tread consisting of alternating hexagons. This design optimises stability in all directions, even on slopes. The hexagons are designed for even patterns of wear and high levels of durability, especially while turning and manoeuvring with heavy loads. The symmetrical design delivers balanced traction while driving forward and backwards. https://lnkd.in/eB5nbjth

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟬𝟮 𝗳𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻: 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲! This amazing old video shows the oldest suspension railway in Wuppertal, Germany. Inaugurated in 1901, this is a remarkable engineering feat by Eugen Langen. Proposed as an alternative to the city's congested roads, the railway mostly runs above the river Wupper, with some sections elevated above main roads. The cars, suspended from a single rail beneath a massive steel frame of 486 pillars, navigate through enclosed, curved tracks at the Oberbarmen and Vohwinkel stations before re-emerging. This marvel of engineering was constructed over 120 years ago, just as this video was shot more than a century ago: however, both the video and this infrastructure seem to have come out not only from the past but also from the future!
