Flecto represents the latest evolution of floating board-to-board connectors. As well as supporting high-speed data transmission, these micro-interconnect components assure long-term reliability and facilitate automated manufacturing procedures. They have a fine pitch and high pin counts are supported. Each of them features a spring-based suspension mechanism, which allows as much as ±0.5mm float tolerance to be benefited from in both the X and Y axes. It means that the risk of potential mating misalignments during assembly, plus subsequent board level stresses, can be mitigated. Furthermore, the ±0.5mm Z axis floating capability alleviates the effects of vibrational forces or acute shocks. Variants are available with contact pin numbers reaching up to 160. Pins can be specified that support 12Gbit/s data rates, as well as ones for carrying 3A of current. 650V SiC Diodes in R2P DPAK Packages Relying on silicon carbide (SiC) technology, Nexperia’s PSC1065H Schottky diodes deliver elevated levels of performance and efficiency, while also exhibiting minimal power losses. This latest addition to the the PSC1065 series of 10A/650V rated Schottky devices is fully automotive compliant and makes use of R2P DPAK packaging. The merged PiN Schottky (MPS) structure employed gives them the edge over competing SiC diodes in terms of stronger operational robustness and resilience to surge currents. This means that the need for additional protection circuitry can be avoided - leading to bill-of-materials (BoM) and board real estate savings. “We’ve seen an excellent market response to the initial release of our SiC diodes. They have proven themselves in design-ins with one notable example in power supplies for industrial applications, where customers have achieved especially good results.
