In product development, the terms #ProductDesign (PD) and #ProductExperience (PX) often get tossed around, sometimes interchangeably. However, there's a nuanced distinction that can catch even seasoned professionals off guard. While many believe they operate within the realms of PX or PD, they often describe responsibilities that align more closely with other functions, revealing a gap in understanding. I aim to clarify what these terms truly encompass, moving beyond the surface-level notion of outputting artifacts to explore the deeper, strategic roles these disciplines play in balancing user needs with business objectives. At many times, I have seen digital designs been showcased or praised based on their artifacts rather than the user experience or goals they achieve. As a product design consultant - I believe design isn’t just about making things pretty; it's also about making things work and look good while doing it. We should aim to solve real problems and deliver exceptional results. Sharing an excellent article to read about this from Paul Boag #userexperience #uiux #crazydes #uxdesign

🚀 Stop Wasting Time & Money! User-Centered Design: The Solution 🚀 Is your company stuck in the past? Are outdated systems costing you time and money? 🤔 User-centered design (UCD) is the answer! It's like giving your software a superpower – making it intuitive and efficient for everyone. This means less frustration, fewer errors, and happier users! 🎉 Here's how UCD solves the problem: 1️⃣ Focuses on the user: Designs are built around your users' needs, not just what's easiest for developers. 2️⃣ Reduces errors: Intuitive interfaces mean fewer mistakes, saving time and resources. 3️⃣ Improves efficiency: Streamlined processes lead to faster workflows and increased productivity. 3 Key Benefits of UCD: 1️⃣ Reduced Errors: ⬇️ 50% fewer user errors (measured monthly via error logs) – Target: 75% reduction. 2️⃣ Time Savings: ⏰ 20% reduction in task completion time (measured weekly via user surveys) – Target: 30% reduction. 3️⃣ Cost Savings: 💰 $10,000 monthly savings (measured monthly via support ticket analysis) – Target: $20,000 savings. 3 Tools to Implement UCD: 1️⃣ User testing: Observe real users interacting with your software. 2️⃣ Surveys: Gather feedback directly from your users. 3️⃣ A/B testing: Compare different design options to see what works best. 3 KPIs for Success: 1️⃣ User Satisfaction: (Positive feedback/Total feedback) 100 – Measured monthly via surveys – Target: 90% satisfaction. 2️⃣ Error Rate: (Total errors/Total interactions) 100 – Measured weekly via error logs – Target: <5%. 3️⃣ Task Completion Time: Average time to complete key tasks – Measured weekly via user activity logs – Target: <5 minutes. 3 OKRs for Success: 1️⃣ Objective: Improve user satisfaction. Result: Achieve a 90% Net Promoter Score (NPS) by Q4. 2️⃣ Objective: Reduce user errors. Result: Decrease the error rate by 50% by Q3. 3️⃣ Objective: Increase efficiency. Result: Reduce average task completion time by 30% by Q2. #UserCenteredDesign #UX #UI #SoftwareDesign #Efficiency #CostSavings #Innovation

Project Insight 😎 Another view from a client project, this time I would like to show you one of my few iterations of the Single Order view. It was a little challenging to create a view that presented various types of information and actions together in one place. In this case, the key was to establish a suitable hierarchy of information to get a proper overview of the situation in order. I'm pretty happy about the results Stay tuned! ✨ — Have a new project on the board or need help with your existing one? From abstraction and chaos to a specific plan for the application - that's how the magic of UX workshops works 😁✨ However, one needs to know how to create it... UX workshops are the starting point in the software design process for Push Buttons' clients. We often begin with the challenge of interpreting very vague ideas for a product or solution. Workshops are crucial because they allow us to transform abstract concepts into a clear product vision and define their functionalities. What makes discovery workshops effective at Push Buttons? 🔸We carefully analyse the client's ideas, 🔸define target groups, 🔸build proto-personas. But that's not all. We strive to develop a detailed product vision through discussion and collaborative work and determine its functional scope. We prioritize functions, identify critical elements that should be included in the product's first version (MVP), and plan subsequent development stages. 📍Our goal is to fully understand the client's idea and create a shared product vision. This will allow us and the client to be on the same page and enable us to plan subsequent project activities effectively. UX workshops help us clarify the client's idea and build a solid foundation for further actions. This allows us to understand user needs better, optimize project strategy, and precisely determine the scope of work. #UX #UXworkshops #userexperience #productdesign #productdiscovery #discoveryworkshops
