#ISTATAsia indeed concluded with a tone of optimism, with Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at BOC Aviation, noting that the industry remained robust despite the turmoil of the past few years. “It’s just been this series of, in theory, black swan events, where we’re meant to have one every 10 years, and we've come out of it with almost all airlines, still there, still functioning. I think we have to step back for a moment, what's remarkable is that the airline industry is still there and in as good a shape as it is.” #aviation #aircraftleasing #perspectives #marketoutlook #airlineindustry

Today marks National Aviation Day, a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey of aviation—a journey that has not only shaped our skies but has also transformed the world we live in. From the Wright brothers’ first flight in 1903 to the advent of supersonic travel, aviation has always been about pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and connecting people across continents. Over the past century, we’ve seen our industry evolve from a daring experiment into a global powerhouse, driving innovation, economic growth, and cultural exchange. Through my work with Chapman Freeborn OBC , part of the Avia Solutions Group, I’ve witnessed how our collective efforts continue to propel this industry forward, setting new standards in global connectivity and innovation. Being part of a group that’s redefining aviation on a global scale is truly inspiring. On this special day, let’s not only honor the pioneers who paved the way but also celebrate the incredible minds that continue to lead us into the future. With sustainability, digital transformation, and global connectivity at the forefront, the future of aviation is bright—and it’s an exciting time to be part of this journey. Here’s to the next century of flight! ✈️ #CareerWings #LivingAviation #WomaninAviation #WIA #ChapmanFreebornOBC #ASG #NationalAviationDay #AviationHistory #AviationInnovation #AviationMarketing #Leadership #GlobalConnectivity #Sustainability

It was truly my pleasure to participate (remotely) at the Flight Plan 24 Conference in Visby, focussing on innovative aircraft technologies. What a lovely post, thank you, Fredrik Kämpfe 🟢 I am humbled. Full and hybrid electric, hydrogen-powered aircraft are some of the most exciting technologies in aviation today, holding the promise of zero-emission flights way before 2030, a handful of years away. For regional operators, these technologies need now, to be turned into suitable assets for their fleets. Technological progresses are incremental by nature, therefore short-haul flights and smaller aircraft will be rolled out first, and this is why regional aviation is well-suited to benefit from these advancements. Without any doubt, we can affirm that regional aviation will be the first commercial segment to witness the deployment of these technologies. Access to finance will determine whether regional airlines can keep investing in cutting-edge technologies to be the ones to trailblaze the way towards zero-emissions aviation. #ThinkRegional

The conference Flight Plan ’24 – Green Light for Take-off started with a fantastic video-adress by Montserrat Barriga Andrés Director General of European Regions Airline Association. I recorded it for everyone to enjoy. Next year we hope to welcome Montserrat and other world leaders for regional sustainable aviation in person to the fantastic island of Gotland. I’m thinking also the Secretary General of International Civil Aviation Organization Mr Juan Carlos Salazar :-) May we invite you? Transportföretagen Flyg FlightPlan 24
