Coming off an exciting week at the National Business Aviation Association's BACE, we are announcing our first collaboration in the #BusinessAviation space as Eclipse Aerospace, Inc flight tests our #AI-enhanced visual traffic awareness system. Eclipse has outfitted its next-generation very light jet (VLJ) Eclipse 550 with our cameras and computer to decrease pilot workload and increase safety during the critical phase of flight, including proper runway identification, traffic awareness, landing guidance, and the ability to identify runway incursions. Testing continues in the American Southwest over Eclipse’s headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are grateful for the coverage provided by Aviation International News. Exciting news from the CORUS five project team as we kicked off a new phase today! 🚀 Building on the foundation laid by CORUS-XUAM, under the lead of EUROCONTROL, a consortium of 13 partners is working to evolve the ConOps (Concept of Operations) to integrate U-space more effectively into controlled airspace. Our goal? To drive the integration of U-space into traditional ATM to meet the needs of the rapidly evolving uncrewed and crewed aviation landscape. The previous version of the ConOps published by CORUS-XUAM will evolve further, integrating new regulatory requirements and focusing on a thorough assessment of safety, especially under non-nominal conditions. This new iteration will be instrumental in the future of aviation, particularly in integrating uncrewed vehicles into regular airspace operations. ✅ The Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ) is reporting on the latest progress on its Autonomy of Future Air Mobility (AMAF) project, aimed at structuring the increasing autonomy of vehicles involved in advanced air mobility. Project partners Thales and Presagis (now CAE) are combining their expertise in digital technologies, AI, critical systems and simulation to design the components needed for the autonomous aerospace of the future.
