TotalEnergies has signed a charter contract with Spanish shipowner, Ibaizabal, for a new LNG bunker vessel of 18 600 m3 capacity. This new vessel will expand the company’s global presence in bunkering hubs. In particular, this additional vessel might be deployed in Oman, where the company is developing the Marsa LNG project with the objective to provide LNG to the shipping sector in the Gulf. TFG Marine, a frontrunner in global marine fuel supply, has marked a historic achievement with the successful inaugural liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling of their bunker vessel, the MT Diligence, at Jurong Port, Singapore. This momentous occasion signifies a leap forward in sustainable bunkering operations and underscores the company’s firm commitment to Energy Transition in the bunkering industry. The deployment of a vessel capable of being powered by LNG, in addition to conventional low sulfur marine fuels, not only demonstrates TFG Marine’s commitment to innovation but also facilitates compliance with the licensing requirements set forth by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The 34m3 of LNG required to fuel the MT Diligence was efficiently supplied by the Marine division of Pavilion Energy, a prominent Singapore based LNG supplier. MOL Strengthens LNG Fleet with New Long-Term Charter Contract Blueman Exim News | Tokyo | January 15, 2025. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) has expanded its position as the operator of the world’s largest LNG fleet by signing a long-term charter contract for a newbuilding LNG carrier with JERA Co., Inc. This marks the eighth LNG carrier charter collaboration between MOL and JERA. The vessel, set to be built at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje Shipyard, is expected to be delivered in 2026 and will be managed by MOL for LNG transportation on behalf of JERA.  This agreement underscores MOL's commitment to supporting a stable LNG supply chain in partnership with JERA. It aligns with MOL's "BLUE ACTION 2035" management strategy, which focuses on integrating stable profit-earning projects into its portfolio.
