Thanks to this group from Orofino Junior-Senior High School for visiting our Lewiston facility! The students enjoyed a tour of the manufacturing floor and tackled a hands-on activity focused on chemical engineering. "Our students were able to make many associations from the curriculum being taught and understand the real-life application that is sculpted on a chemistry foundation," shared Ms. Melton, the OJSHS Science Teacher. "I look forward to continuing to expose my students to the SEL experience."

AdvanSix is proud to support the next generation of leaders in chemical engineering. One way we do that is through our affiliation with the AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Recently, Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) interns Nahla Abdul-Hadi and Dieunette Adusei-Peasah had the opportunity to attend the #AIChEGala alongside our President and CEO Erin Kane, who served as a gala chair, and other team members. We are honored to play a role in advancing this important mission and remain committed to championing the future of chemistry through education, awareness and support for tomorrow’s innovators. Last Wednesday evening I had the honor of joining Nahla Abdul-Hadi and Dieunnette Adusei-Peasah, interns from our Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI), along with Erin Kane, Kelly Slieter, Paul Sanders, Rachel Jones and Zolla Kyle at the annual AIChE Gala. This inspiring event celebrated the transformative impact of Doing a World of Good, an initiative that provides critical scholarships to students and young professionals as well as introducing K-12 students to the wonders of chemical engineering. I was inspired to hear from Erin as Gala Chair as she spoke about the remarkable achievements of Lori J. Ryerkerk, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President of Celanese Corporation. It was an honor to join fellow chemical engineers in advancing our mission and fostering the future of generations of chemistry leaders.
