AGENDA 2063 I learned that Agenda 2063 is a development blueprint for Africa that aims to achieve inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development over a 50-year period . --The blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into a global power house of the future. -- It aim to realise the Africa We Want-Integrated prosperous peaceful Africa driven by its citizen and representing a dynamic force in international arena. -- Structured as 50-year development blueprint implemented through five(5) ,10-year implementation plans. -- I learned about THE FIRST TEN YEAR IMPLEMENTATION PLAN 2014-2023--Decade of convergence. --Second TEN YEAR IMPLEMENTATION PLAN 2024-20333- The decade of acceleration The plan is focused on the following seven aspirations - Aspiration 1: A prosperous Africa*: A high standard of living, quality of life and well-being for all citizens. - Aspiration 2: An integrated continent*: United Africa (Federal/Confederate) with accelerated progress towards continental unity and integration. - Aspiration 3: An Africa of good governance: Democratic values, practices, universal principles for human rights, justice and rule of law entrenched. - Aspiration 4: A peaceful and secure Africa*: Peace, security and stability preserved. - Aspiration 5: An Africa with a strong cultural identity: Africa cultural renaissance is pre-eminent. - Aspiration 6: An Africa, whose development is people-driven*: Full gender equality in all spheres of life. - Aspiration 7: Africa as a strong, united, resilient and influential global player and partner.Africa as a major partner in global affairs and peaceful co-existence. I learned also the role of the youth in the the the implementation of the Second TEN YEAR IMPLEMENTATION PLAN 2024-20333- The decade of acceleration 1) Active participation 2) innovation and creativity 3) Advocacy and awareness 4) skill development 5) Youth entrepreneurship and employment.

Why have Goals? Goals are meaningful because we are vulnerable; we can get hurt, we can suffer, we get sick; we grow old and can become helpless. And… we can die! Without our mortality, goals will have no meaning and moments lose their urgency. Goals help us focus our thoughts and actions towards the necessary and essential stuff of life. Goals and #quests, without any allocated moments will have no meaning and everything becomes postpone-able! But even more important, we need a vision of the future: a mental picture of how the distant and the near future will unfold; with us, as active participants in its dynamics. Will you be alone in that future? Will you have a companion? Family? Friends? In short, this #vision will be your theory of the future, so to speak. This vision will constitute your best estimate of tomorrow, based on your factual knowledge of the present: factual, not biased nor contrived! What an honour 🙏 I am not an engineer, but I am deeply committed to contributing to the vision of an inclusive African energy ecosystem. We must act differently today to avoid future costs and rectify today's mistakes. Africa is not monolithic; it has 55 distinct Just Transition pathways. With 900 million people lacking clean cooking solutions, it is crucial to elevate clean cooking from a developmental issue to a mainstream economic priority. This shift will attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and support the establishment of clean cooking solution value chains owned by African women, youth, and persons with disabilities. The green economy, encompassing the blue economy, circularity, renewable energy, and energy efficiency, will unlock unprecedented economic activity on the continent. Gender equality and social inclusion are not merely moral obligations; they are economic imperatives. AWEaP has 22 chapters across the continent and is expanding to cover all 55 markets. We are structured to catalyze ecosystem collaboration for an inclusive African green economy.
