Less than one week to go until the #BigGive Christmas Challenge begins! We love this video from the Big Give team. Did you spot a familiar face from the FEI family? Nikki Lilly 👀 Donations made between the 3rd and 10th December will be matched, which means a £2 donation becomes £4, and a £25 donation becomes £50, at no extra cost to you. Double the support means double the impact, and we're doubling down on championing the rights and inclusion of people with facial differences. VD: A series of clips edited together to look like old camcorder video. The voiceover asks "If you could double one thing about Christmas, what would it be?" The clips feature footage of classic parts of Christmas including snow, food, time spent with family, cuddling pets, the music. These are all accompanied with voices of many different people sharing what they love. The voiceover then says Christmas is a time to double the difference in the world, and goes on to explain the Big Give matched funding campaign. Charities taking part in the campaign share what they would double to make the world a better place. FEI Patron Nikki Lilly is featured and says "I would double the self-love and self-confidence that anyone with a facial difference should have for themselves." #FaceEquality #FacialDifference #DoubleTheDifference #Impact #BigGive #ChristmasChallenge #NikkiLilly #DoubleTheImpact #GivingSeason

Younger generations don’t care about tax breaks because of donations. If you want to attract donors who are millennials or younger, explaining tax benefits is a huge turn off. They don’t care about what they are going to get back; they care about the impact their donation will create. Rethink your communication if you are still using that messaging to younger generations.

How to Help Fathers' UpLift Thank you for your support of our mission to uplift fathers and families. Your contributions play a vital role in enriching the lives of those we assist. Here are several impactful ways you can support our efforts: 1. Make a Donation: Your financial support is crucial to our nonprofit’s sustainability. Whether a one-time gift or a recurring donation, your donations directly fund our services, such as therapy and comprehensive support for fathers and their families. For instance: A $1,000 donation sustains a year’s service for one family. An $85 donation supports a month of service. Donations can be made quickly and securely through our website at www.fathersuplift.org. 2. Fundraise for Fathers: If contributing $1,000 is beyond your current capacity, or if you’re looking to extend your impact, consider organizing a fundraiser! Create a fundraising event on our website at https://lnkd.in/e7CNgCM3. Celebratory fundraisers during birthdays or holidays are excellent ways to raise awareness and support our mission effectively. 3. Host a Bags for Dads Drive: Join our efforts by hosting a Bags for Dads Drive. Last year, our community partners helped us distribute over 500 Bags for Dads. To start a drive or join an existing one, please contact us at info@fathersuplift.org. Your involvement can make a lasting impact on our community initiatives. We deeply appreciate every form of support we receive. Together, we can create meaningful change in the lives of fathers and their families. Thank you for your continued commitment to Fathers UpLift! 🌐 Learn More: Visit our website to find out more ways to get involved and support our mission. #FathersUpLift #SupportFathers #MakeADifference #CommunitySupport #PositiveChange

Get the kids involved this holiday season! There are so many wonderful ways for children to experience the joy of giving and make a difference in their communities. Here are a few ideas: Shop for Gifts to Donate: Bring your kids along to choose toys, clothes, or other items for families in need. Let them pick out items they think other kids would love—it helps them feel connected to the giving process. Host a Drive in Your Neighborhood: Set up a small donation drive for items like coats, canned goods, or toys. Kids can help spread the word to neighbors, decorate collection boxes, or organize items. Volunteer Together: Many local organizations welcome families to volunteer. Whether it’s helping at a food bank or wrapping gifts for a charity, kids get a firsthand look at kindness in action. Involving kids in giving back helps them develop empathy, learn gratitude, and see how even small actions make a big difference. Let’s inspire the next generation of givers this holiday season! Family Giving By Design is here to help your family create a legacy of generosity.

🙏 There’s a chill in the air, we’ve reached that time of seasonal gift-giving. A special shout out to Etos for their period products, and Saskia Seinpaal for incontinence products (also in demand), both generous donations. Receiving these products at our office felt like an early holiday surprise! ✨ Do you want to make a difference, too? We depend on donations to fill our 65 Menstruation Stations, and welcome individual donations, large or small. Are you a decision-maker in a company? Consider setting up a donation matching program, to amplify your company’s social impact. As an employee, consider talking with your employer about whether they are willing to match or even double your donation. Every donation makes a direct and real difference, and goes entirely to purchasing the products people need. During the holidays, a contribution to NF makes a great, socially conscious gift. Starting at €5 per month, you can help us buy period products for someone in need! 💜 Make your donation today! 👉 https://lnkd.in/dpzkzsHs #SocialImpact #Donations #Community #Support #NeighborhoodFeminists

We've noticed a trend at GoGenerosity When businesses share about their charity partners' and the impact their own and their customers' generosity has, they get an uplift in pay-it-forward donations. Here's why sharing your impact matters: 1. It thanks your customers - Gratitude goes a long way. By publicly acknowledging the customers who pay-it-forward and showing them the result of their donations, you make them feel appreciated. 2. Inspires more generosity - Actions speak louder than words. Sharing real stories of impact encourages others to join in and pay-it-forward next time they shop with you. 3. It cements you in the community. Business is more than just transactions; it's about community. By sharing your social good impact you become a clear part of the community, caring about the people in it.

The holidays are a time to reflect, celebrate, and give back. Philosopher Will Macaskill, a leader in the Effective Altruism movement, reminds us of the incredible power we have to make a difference: "Imagine saving someone from a burning building, then a week later saving someone from drowning, and then saving someone having a heart attack. You’d think, ‘Wow, this is a really special life I’m living.’ The truth is, we have the opportunity to be that kind of hero every single year by donating to the most effective charities." This season, consider how small acts of generosity can create extraordinary change. By donating to effective organizations you could save lives, educate children, or provide critical resources to those in need. Generosity isn’t just about giving money; it’s about recognizing the difference you can make. With relatively little effort, you could truly be someone’s hero this holiday season. How will you give back this year? Let’s inspire each other!
