Can you believe it’s already December? One moment, we’re mapping out our big plans for the year, and the next, we’re drowning in end-of-year deadlines, wrapping up projects, and scrambling to check off everything we promised we’d get done. It’s a good time to pause and ask: ❓Am I living the kind of life I want, running my business the way that feels right for me, or building the career I dream of? Life moves so fast, doesn’t it? All the laughs, the tears, the mistakes we swore we’d never repeat (but totally did), the dreams we promised ourselves we’d chase (but didn’t) - it’s all zipped by. And those things we meant to say, do, or feel? They somehow slipped through our fingers and disappeared into someday. Now here we are, at the final stretch. December. The last month of the year. It’s the perfect time to stop and ask ourselves: 👉 Am I building something that feels meaningful, or just going through the motions without real purpose? 👉 Have I invested in becoming the person I want to be - both professionally and personally? 👉 What would it look like to step into the new year fully aligned with my values, dreams, and purpose? November 4th…… Is it really November 4th!?! How often do you hear this throughout the year, or say it yourself? It’s far too easy to get wrapped up in the day to day, and time just slips right by. I know this happens for me when I don’t set intentional goals with a plan on how to achieve them. 2024 was admittedly a tough year for me when it comes to goal setting and priority planning. There were some big wins, and also some things I’d like to take another shot at! **A Fail to Plan is a Plan to Fail** As we enter the final stretch of 2024, I’m focused on finishing this year on a high note and looking ahead to the exciting opportunities in 2025. I have a personal goal to prioritize planning—not just for myself, but for my family, my team, and everyone around me. In the past, the hustle and bustle sometimes blurred my focus, holding me and those I care about back. I have a renewed focus, and am intent that 2025 will be different. I’m committed to approaching this new year with purpose and intention, creating clear, actionable goals that will guide us all forward. This means building a roadmap that keeps priorities simple and achievable for everyone, whether it’s at home, at work, or for personal growth. When everyone has a clear path, they can see their role and their success. Whether it's my family building routines together, my team understanding their goals, or me staying aligned with my vision, 2025 will be about making every moment count. Let’s close out this year strong and step into a new one full of clarity, connection, and success!

I never set New Year’s resolutions. Here’s why. 💡 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail. They’re often just bursts of motivation — a promise to yourself that fades as life gets busy. 🤔 Instead, I’ve found a better way. I reflect, refine, and reset throughout the year. Not once, but consistently. ⏩ This approach allows me to adapt, grow, and stay aligned with what truly matters. It’s not about waiting for January to make a change — it’s about constantly evolving. 🧐 As the new year begins, consider this. What if we treated every DAY like we treat the New Year? I am all for goal setting and vision casting for the year. It’s necessary really. It’s a fresh start, a reset. But I find New Year’s resolutions off-putting. I don’t think I’ve ever succeeded at keeping one for a whole year. I can’t even tell you that I remember what my resolution was by the time February rolls around. We don’t know what tomorrow may bring us, in business or personal lives, let alone what 6 months down the road may look like. And one thing that doesn’t go according to plan can ruin our idea of what the New Year should look like. We’ve got to be flexible and adjust with those unexpected items that pop up. What if we recognize that each day has that same power and excitement? Each day is a new opportunity to set goals, check off to-do’s, and to CELEBRATE. What if we broke down those resolutions into smaller, more attainable chunks? Each day is a fresh start and reset.

The biggest FOMO at the end of the year? No, it’s not about hitting all your goals, going viral on social media, or having the perfect holiday season. It’s your year-end stories and reels. Haven’t you been a little envious of those who are sharing their perfectly crafted highlights? They’re posting their best moments, celebrating every achievement, and reflecting on how far they’ve come, while you’re just trying to get through the last few days of the year. Yeah, me too. But here's the thing – ↳ You don’t need a perfect year to share something meaningful. ↳ It’s not about how flawless your year was, it’s about appreciating the journey, the struggles, and the growth. ↳ You made it through challenges you never thought you'd face. ↳ You turned setbacks into comebacks. ↳ And you learned more than you realize. Start by embracing the small wins. Don’t wait for the big “perfect” moment to share. Celebrate everything you’ve learned, every lesson, and every step forward. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. Every Sunday, I sit down and reflect on the week. I write down one standout moment—a highlight, a memory, something that made me smile or feel proud. Then I fold it up and drop it into a jar. By the end of the year, I’ll have: ✨ 52 moments. ✨ 52 reasons to celebrate. ✨ 52 reminders that even in the chaos of life and work, there’s beauty in the little things. I’m only a few Sundays in, but I already love this ritual. I don’t believe in massive overnight transformations. At this point, we all know most New Year’s resolutions don’t last past February. What I do believe in are the small, incremental steps—the ones that create real, lasting change. And with only four sundays in, it’s not too late to join. What’s one moment from your week you’d write down?

I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. I don’t think it’s particularly helpful or fun to resolve to do something. Where is the inspiration in that? Resolutions have become about as appealing as hammering your finger. I do believe, however, in new year’s intentions. I believe the new year is a good time to seek out some quiet and spend time reflecting, taking stock, and dreaming. In the rush of the year it can be hard to reach those inflection points and really ask ourselves: -How do I feel about what I have done this year? -Do I enjoy what I am doing?  -Are there new things I want to explore? -Are there projects/relationships/patterns I am ready to let go of?  -What does my ideal life look like, and what steps can I take this year to align with it? I have been doing a lot of reflecting over the last couple of weeks, as projects have finished and new projects have launched and I have some space to write, plan, rest, walk, catch up with people, and clean out my backlog of emails (unsubscribing never felt so good!). It’s the kind of reflection I think is best done offline. Its dividends will pay out over time and not overnight. What I’m Leaving Behind in 2024 and Taking Forward into 2025 ✨ Every year feels like a book - some chapters you want to re-read, others you’d rather skip. As I turn the page to 2025, I’m taking a moment to unpack the mindsets I want to leave behind, and the ones I want to carry forward. What I’m Leaving Behind in 2024: a. Being Busy: It's not the same as being productive. In 2025, it’s all about focused action, not frantic motion. b. Overthinking: Perfect is often the enemy of done. Quick, thoughtful decisions will replace analysis paralysis. c. Chasing Every Opportunity: Not every door needs to be opened. The power of saying no is transformative. What I’m Taking Forward into 2025: a. Consistency Over Intensity: Big goals aren’t achieved in one giant leap - they’re built with small, consistent steps. b. Right People: Surrounding myself with those who inspire, challenge, and support me remains non-negotiable. c. Protecting My Energy: Said it earlier, energy is more crucial than time. In 2025, I’ll prioritize where and with whom I invest it. So here’s to shedding the unnecessary, doubling down on what works, and stepping into the new year with clarity and intention.
