On the 12th of October, 2024, we will be hosting 200 youths at the JPI STATE YOUTH ASSEMBLY here in Plateau State with the theme: Inspiring Possibilities. The State Youth Assembly aims to foster a greater acknowledgment of youths as vital drivers of social change and economic progress in all parts of society. It will allow participants to improve and strengthen their leadership capacity and abilities through an interactive session conducted by a faculty of experts. Our goal is to equip young minds with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to excel as future leaders and entrepreneurs. It is designed to feature renowned speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities designed to empower participants to embrace innovation and take charge of their future. Our vision is to: Promote Young Leaders: To celebrate young leaders contributing meaningfully to their immediate communities, workplace, business, or social enterprise. Enhance learning for Youths: To provide a learning platform for the personal development of young and emerging leaders with an overall aim of equipping, encouraging, and supporting them to steer innovative initiatives and solutions in their immediate environment. Promote Entrepreneurship: To encourage the youths to embrace entrepreneurship to create job opportunities across various sectors and foster intergenerational solidarity and learning opportunities. Networking Opportunities: Provide a networking platform for young leaders to meet their peers in the same sector, learn from industry experts and explore possible future collaboration, partnerships, and mentorship. LEAP Leadership Institute & LEAP Africa - Week3 TakeAways. In this week, I have had achance to gain practical insights through experts from 8thGear® Hub & Venture Studio, Mr. Damilola Obidairo. He empasized much on venture funding options and the art of the pitch. 1. For pre-seed ventures it is important to embrace Boostrapping. This helps an entreprenuer to captitalize his savings for launching a business/building MVC products. Remember dreams are nothing, and execution is everything. 2. During pitching, it is recommended having the pitch deck in pdf format. Remember a great pitch must carry a good story & suit the intended audience. We also had a session on Communication and Marketing of Learning Products  by Iman Lipumba . She said know your problem statement, unique value preposition, Product Audience(s), market message and communication channels.
