https://lnkd.in/egxNaAZE The second week of September has been designated "National Compassionate Leadership Week" by the TramutoPorter Foundation. Their mission is simple: To create a more compassionate world." The Center for Compassionate Leadership highlights: "Leading with compassion emerges in the way leaders respond to others in everyday interactions. Do individual leaders interact with their teams and colleagues in ways that reduce stress and increase feelings of well-being, or do their actions add to stress? Leading in this way starts with self-compassion and awareness, helping leaders to clearly see their own emotions surrounding a given interaction as well as how the interaction is impacting others." Notable here is that compassionate leadership starts with self-compassion. In our work at SixSEED Partners, we've been taking our client leaders through experiential exercises where they learn to cultivate self compassion first, as they then courageously embrace new behaviors to strengthen excellence and well-being for their teams. In 2024, the role of empathy in leadership is more crucial than ever. I've noticed that employees crave genuine understanding and connection from their leaders. It's not just about hitting targets but about fostering an environment where everyone feels valued. Empathy can turn workplace challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation. Leading with empathy helps build trust and encourages open communication. It makes team members feel heard and supported, which boosts morale and productivity. As leaders, it's essential to listen actively and respond with compassion. This approach not only benefits the individual but strengthens the entire organization. In my experience, empathetic leadership leads to a more resilient and engaged team. So, let's make empathy a cornerstone of our leadership strategies in 2024. #Leadership #Empathy #2024Trends

For leaders of global organizations, self-awareness is a fundamental trait. Leaders who possess self-awareness are constantly attuned to the impact of their words and actions on others, allowing them to adapt and lead with greater efficacy. These leaders are acutely conscious of their language, behaviors, and biases, which enables them to make more informed decisions and build trust in their teams. Danielle (Zielonka) Pavliv, CDE, MSHRM, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at SAS, explains how leaders can leverage their networks to uncover personal biases and in turn increase their self-awareness in The Inclusive Leadership Handbook. Read advice from Danielle and other leaders by getting your copy today through the link in the comments. #InclusiveLeadership #SelfAwareness #LeadershipAdvice

From the desk of Dr. Gerilyn Davis: Happy Friday! I hope you are feeling alive, for I sure am. Having an inclusive leader makes us feel alive and influences us to expand our capabilities. As we make a Daily Assessment of having an inclusive leader, we are empowered to rise to the organizational obstacles we may face. --- ADAPTIVE LEADERSHIP: When we have an inclusive leader, we notice that they are adaptable in their leadership style. It isn’t a one size fits all. --- MUTUAL EXCHANGE: An inclusive leader fosters an environment that generates a mutual exchange and provides an organization to be part of. The culture begins to speak for itself. --- PARTNERSHIP: An inclusive leader reminds us that we work towards our goals together. Inclusive leadership development is leadership development. Being led by an inclusive leader makes an impression on us. It makes us want to get out and share our experiences with others. Inclusive leadership is the future. Enjoy the weekend! #joyofinclusion #inclusionexpansion #inclusionincludesyoutoo #InclusionontheSlopes #SWORDInclusionSystem #PhaseFiveDailyAssessment #HavinganInclusiveLeader

Can you really lead all your people well? Leaders are as diverse as the people they serve. Don’t they have the right to express their own culture and values in their leadership style? These are some of the questions we look at in depth on our Award Winning leadership programme ‘Leading and Engaging Inclusively with Cultural Intelligence’, which is now enrolling for Leeds, 23 & 24th April. We use the powerful tools of change management, values-based leadership, cultural intelligence and psychological safety to help people develop personally and professionally into inclusive and culturally intelligent leaders. We provide the evidence that intentionally inclusive leaders have higher achieving, happier teams. But let me know what you think - can a leader ever lead ALL their people well? #InclusiveLeadership #Leadership #DiversityandInclusion
