Are we failing our teams (and ourselves) by not sharing our failures? Recognition plays a key role in the employee experience these days. We want to be seen for our value, for our contributions, for our "wins". We want to be recognized by our peers and celebrate "wins" with the team. We want to share the story in the hopes of spreading more "wins". But is our "win" story...the whole story? In those "wins" are there moments of self-doubt that we're not sharing? In those "wins" are there moments of fear that we would never succeed that we're not sharing? How can our "win" be fully understood/experienced/shared if we're only sharing part of it? When we don't "win" are we sharing a story at all? Or are we carrying that burden alone? Stuck in a loop of shame that we're not contributing or having success. Afraid to share our fallibility. Anyone learn to ride a bike without falling? Let's share our skinned knees. How does your team share the times you win, and the times you don't?

Sometimes, we should just silently reflect on one thing alone: we're all humans behind our titles. We can err. Our colleagues can make a mistake. It is okay to be wrong about something. It is not about individual performance at the end of the day. In striking contrast, it is more about collective efforts in the right direction. Kudos to all such people out there who strive to make sure that everyone in the team gets to contribute, correct their direction when they go wrong, remember to lend a helping hand when they see someone clearly struggling. It's not about competition all of the time. We all know how fast-paced everything is. Maturity is going the extra mile and helping those around you. For those who don't possess such qualities, let them revel in their bitterness. Time and patience will see them exiting the system the day they require someone's help and are met with the same attitude they show others. #sharingiscaring #helping #colleagues #collaboration

I think that for you to be at your best, then you have to believe in your best. Belief comes from constant support & encouragement from the people around you. Not empty support “good jobs” or “well dones” when it's not warranted. But people catching other people doing things right and giving positive verbal feedback. Some days you’ll be the supporter, some days you'll need the support. Both days are important to your well-being and those around you. #DailyMight

Saying "𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮" is more than just words—it’s a powerful way to uplift and motivate your team. Whether it’s thanking someone for their hard work, support, or patience, showing appreciation never goes to waste. A simple “𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨” can boost morale, strengthen relationships, and remind your team that their efforts are seen and valued. Gratitude fosters a positive work culture, and that’s where true growth happens. So, don’t hold back those thank-yous—spread them often! 🙏✨ #TeamAppreciation #GratitudeInAction #ThankYouTeam #LiftEachOtherUp

Does anyone else get super emotional about their team? Do you remember a couple of decades ago when being so open about feelings for your team were more frowned upon? As a leader, as a human, how can you not become so connected with a team? It gives us a connected force, a golden thread of super power between us. In my time across organisations, as a manager and leader, I have managed and supported people through deaths, suicide, marriage, transitions, adoption, crical illness, promotions, poor performance, high performance, qualifications, affairs and everything in between. Why? That’s life right? The best way I care for a team together is creating a culture that provides a bubble around us, allows us to feel like we can run through walls, that no matter how hard things get, we will get through it together. Its about creating special individual connections, with those that we vibe with, with those we don’t knowing that’s cool, we can still win together. So I am proud that we feel deeply, we laugh hard, we cry and we hug it out when needed. Feel the vibes, feel the love, all humans want at the end of the day is connection. Through this we can solve anything. #leadership #love #connect #team

If we really think about it, love is the foundation, the heart center from which all values stem—whether it’s trust, empathy, or resilience. Love is the root of everything that makes a team strong and cohesive. It’s the core that fuels meaningful connections, builds understanding, and promotes growth. #Leadershipdevelopment #emotionalintelligence #loveinleadership #valuesbasedleadership https://lnkd.in/dVZxtnqF

If recognized properly, motivation evolves from the mind and heart. At this point, I should say that you, as a team builder, need to kill the Halloween effect and team turnover. We need to follow four R, which means: roles, responsibilities, recognition, and resources to continue motivation.
