Back in 2022 we trialled an Orwak 5030 compactor with Podpak, a leading manufacturer of food ingredient pods, as they had a 40yd RORO skip filled with disposal PPE that couldn't be recycled. The waste was so light and fluffy that the black bags were filling the skip fast, resulting in multiple lifts per week! The trial was a huge success, as squashing all the fresh air out of the bags reduced their lifts so much that they started saving £2500 - £3000 per month immediately - so they opted for 3 machines, one for each area of the factory. Fast forward 2 years, to the launch of their sophisticated new nut-free facility it was a no brainer to have an allocated machine for the new production area so we had the pleasure of providing them with a shiny new machine so they can efficiently process their waste in all areas of the business. With how costs have risen over the last 2 years since they implemented this process, they have probably saved over £70,000 as well as reducing the skip lorry visits by 75% too, offering them less disruption to their site as well as the environmental benefits! 👌 Let us help you save too. One of the UK’s leading honey bee suppliers utilised Twinplast’s expertise in custom design and manufacturing to produce containers for the safe and secure transportation of live pollinators. The client required a bespoke shipping box providing robust protection and containment while minimising weight to reduce transportation costs. The container also needed to incorporate performance features that ensured the bees’ survival in transit, including effective air circulation and built-in ventilation to regulate temperatures.
