Welding thick-section steel can be 40% faster and use 60% less energy when dynamic beam laser (DBL) technology from Civan is used - instead of hybrid welding using laser and Metal Inert Gas/Metal Active Gas technologies. Vipro staff have more than 40 years experience in the field of vibration equipment design and manufacturing. Top technology software is used to accurately size the vibrating equipment, required drive size and type of suspension elements. All vibrating equipment are designed to be dynamically balanced with lowest possible loading in supporting structures. General arrangement (GA) drawings are supplied, when an order is placed, indicating mass, suspension centres, dynamic loads, static loads and principal dimensions. All primary components are all bolted together for ease of installation, repairs and maintenance. Welding of components are limited to reduce specialised manufacturing processes. Critical components are analyzed using finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure the most accurate equipment selection. The standard Vipro paint specification offer a high degree of corrosion protection. 350WA Steel is used as a minimum specification for construction. VRN400 Steel is used as a minimum specification for lining material. The PDL team of advanced engineering analysts have collaborated with clients on mooring and anchoring projects for over ten years.   Our analysts have provided global dynamic analysis using Orcaflex and the proprietary PDL Cable Analysis tool for mooring components along with local FEA.   They have analysed live mooring monitoring systems by determining the Ultimate Limit State (ULS) and Fatigue Limit State (FLS) of Integrity Line Monitoring System (ILMS) cables. The team have been able to define the cable routing, the lengths between clamps and clamp bend stiffeners, and optimise the armour wire requirements and thickness of the cables.   They have also assessed an inclinometer power cable by developing a dynamic model of the sensor cable and chain connectors to estimate the non-linear ‘stick-slip’ bending behaviour of the helically wound armour wires and the fatigue life of the cable taking into account the non-linear stress transfer functions.   They have determined the contact forces on mooring components, identified the improvements to the mooring systems and accurately predicted the fatigue life of components to reduce the risk and costs to ensure that there is no loss of function during operation.   Global Underwater Hub Moorings and Anchors Conference & Workshop.   #engineeringexcellence #technicalsolutions #advancedanalysis #Orcaflex #mooring #anchors #floatingoffshore #cables #offshore #offshorewind
