COLLABORATION The expansion and adoption of ‘Space’ into the mainstream is hugely reliant upon how the industry works together for the benefit of the end user. Less about ‘what we do’ and more ‘what you can do’. To reach a position of almost anonymity in the end user’s eyes needs a vast amount of knowledgeable joined up thinking, action and ‘paddling under the surface’ to occur. Third Planet Orbital have been busy in March connecting and collaborating in multiple arenas to build the cohesion: • Exhibiting at (Space-Comm Expo). • Forming Business Relationships (Bright Ascension Ltd and Commercial Space Technologies Ltd. (CST). • Meeting Investors (UK Space Agency Space Investment Forum). • University engagement (VentureVersity). • Trade body interaction (UKspace SME Committee). At Third Planet Orbital we think the time ahead of us as an industry is full of opportunity at all levels, there are visionaries, instigators, system experts, integrators, and operators out there of all shapes and sizes…exciting times! UPCOMING EVENTS 11 April: East Mids STEM Advisory Group 25 April: Space Commercialisation and Tech Summit 11-12 June: UKSA Ignite Space Conference #Space #NewSpaceCommunity #ThirdPlanetOrbital

😎 And that’s a Space-Comm Expo Scotland wrap! 🤩 Niparo was delighted, excited and inspired after the Space-Comm Scotland Expo in Glasgow this week. 🏴 🇬🇧So, so impressive the quality and quantity of effort in the UK space sector in general and the Scottish Space Sector in particular. 🎉 So much going on that it would be basically impossible to mention everyone and everything, but Niparo did want to have a special wee shout out to: ⚖ DLA Piper for inviting Niparo and Founder Dr. Nic Ross to be a panelist as part of inaugural #SpaceLaw #Symposium. 👩🚀 Star Helix Ltd who are leading on the way with deep insight and folks to really keep an aye on 🚀 Thistle Rocketry who are developing scalable propulsion and launch systems and pushing the new rocket tech to its limits. ☄ Aphelion Industries who are pioneering novel technologies to counter the present and future risks to the orbital environment, which of course is so badly needed already. ♻ AstroAgency (I'm biased!) but continue to not only advocate tirelessly for a strong, sustainable space sector but actually take and make direct action happen. 🏆 Stellar Space Marketing & PR engaging industry leaders and deeply understanding the future horizon opportunities and how we make key progress 🌎 Scottish Space Network looking to foster growth, innovation, and collaboration and directly realise that the next stage is to look outside of space for the space sector to grow into its full potential. 💫 These are only a few of the really great efforts leading to novel research, true innovation and solving hard problems that are happening right now. And Niparo salutes them all and will be back later with further shout outs! #spacescotland #Innovation #NewSpace #Spacenetwork

What a vibrant way to kick off the year in the space industry with the 16th European Space Conference! 🚀 It was an exceptional platform to reconnect with peers post-Christmas, and I must say, it felt great to see so many familiar faces once again. A special shoutout to the organizers of the side events that added so much value to the overall experience: the Spanish CDTI-SOST 2024, orchestrated by CDTI Innovación - Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación, and the Occitanie’s Space Strategy session: "Paving the Way for a Sustainable Future of EU Space," organized by the La Région Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée, showcased the immense potential for space and highlighted the importance of regional collaborations, especially between the Occitan and Catalan space ecosystems. #space #Europe #SpaceInnovation #SustainableSpace

🎞️ Check out my highlights from this year’s Space Symposium! Established by the Space Foundation as the preeminent gathering of the international space community, this years event united over 12,000 space professionals, corporate leaders and key decision-makers from more than 40 countries to inform, engage, and foster connections. With cutting-edge space technologies showcased by over 230 innovators these are my 3 main impressions from the show: 1️⃣ Space really does matter - to everyday life here on earth. From communications to position, navigation and timing (PNT), space has deep connections to what we do every day. 2️⃣ Space remains hotly contested - from adversaries who want to dominate it, to space junk to solar flares to spoofing and jamming. Resiliency in space remains at the forefront of people’s thinking. 3️⃣ Space tech, well, is just cool - from rovers, to space tents, mechanical arms, satellite traffic management systems, to complex space suits and more, the show floor was teaming with amazing tech from across the globe (Japan, UK, Italy, Slovenia, Scotland and more had a presence). It was like being a kid in a candy store! 📄 Stay tuned for upcoming articles in Inside GNSS on updates relating to Lockheed Martin’s GPSIII/IIIF and a 5-company PNT round up!
