🌍 Empowering the Next Generation to Drive Systems Change 🌍 Since 2019, The Club of Rome has championed youth engagement to foster systems thinking and innovation, igniting meaningful change across all generations. The 50 Percent Initiative, our Youth Leadership and Intergenerational Dialogues Impact Hub flagship, unites a global network of young leaders with the skills to tackle the climate and nature crises, advocate for public leadership, and drive sustainable business practices. 🌱 Over the last year, in partnership with St. Gallen Symposium and supported by InTent, our #NewGenerationalContract pushed for intergenerational collaboration and transformative strategies in business and policy, spotlighting initiatives like #YouthTalks and Futurelect These partnerships were spotlighted at the World Economic Forum and other major global forums, amplifying youth perspectives on intergenerational equity in decision-making. Building a global solidarity movement, The 50 Percent have connected youth from over 35 countries, hosting events, workshops, and strategy sessions that equip leaders to meet today’s complex challenges with systemic insight. Through storytelling, our fellows share their transformative ideas via our quarterly magazine, COP28 zines, and monthly blogs, blending advocacy with art to amplify youth voices worldwide. A new era of systems thinkers is rising—connected, empowered, and ready to reshape our shared future. Climate Activism is the very first word that comes in mind, when I hear anyone speaking on the climate change. Indeed, my country people do not have enough knowledge on the climate change and Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs). Here, I will always be working to educate the youth and the students on the SDGs and climate change. After all, this is the mission of RE-AD. You can join to spread the words! #UNSDGs #UnitedNations #SDGs #ClimateChange #ClimateAction
This was a big hit for us. RE-AD proudly trained the NextGen Future Leaders on the Sustainable Development Goal 13. We taught more than 60+ Future Youth Leaders in a live session. RE-AD was once again invited by The Buraaq Association for a training on the SDG 13, which is "Climate Action." We deep dived from the generic terms to the global science and activism. These fellows have a spark to bring a social change in our community. We have encouraged them to launch their climate action projects. The guidance will always be there from our side. The mentorship will be provided to these fellows by our President Miss Huria L. and the CEO Mr. Muhammad Daniyal Kamal. Once again, we would like to thank The Buraaq Association and their President "Muhammad Abdullah" for taking such an initiative. Looking forward to guiding these future young leaders! Regards, Team RE-AD Resilience and Adaptation

Come listen to the panel being moderated by my WBCSD colleague Mert Ogut at #MIPIM to learn about what it really takes to implement #netzero strategies. With these fantastic panelists, it will be a really interesting session! #schneiderelectric #skanska
I very much look forward to moderating the first session on the #RoadtoZero Stage at #MIPIM. The opening keynote by Lord Mayor of Copenhagen Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, Followed by a panelists discussion with Andreas L. Farberg, Elsa Monteiro, Katarzyna Zawodna-Bijoch and Mike Kazmierczak. 12 March, 14:10 - 15:10, on a Road to Zero stage (Palais -1) In this session, we will talk about the stark contrast between the enthusiastic hype around net zero commitments and the sobering reality of their implementation. Focusing on the urgent need for tangible action, we delve into a critical reality check on corporate governance, leadership strategies, and the concrete steps necessary to transition from theory to action. With collaboration between: Urban Land Institute, World Green Building Council, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) and WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development

The outcome of our two week Summer SCENE Programme at Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment - University of Oxford is finally out! We have put forward policy recommendations for the upcoming T20 Summit at G20 Brasil 2024. Think20 (T20) is an official Engagement Group of the G20. It serves as an “idea bank” for the G20 by bringing together think tanks and high-level experts to discuss policy issues relevant to the G20. #T20 #G20Brazil #Policy #Climate #Oxford #Think20 #G20 #sustainability G20 Brasil 2024 | T20 Brasil | G20 India
The T20 summit in Brazil will bring together think tanks and research centres from G20 and guest countries in November 2024. It presents a pivotal moment for global climate leadership, particularly for emerging voices from the Global South. Another milestone unlocked: Global Sustainability Challenge certification. It can only Be God! Initially, venturing into Climate Leadership Focus felt like a leap into the unknown, a bold move. Yet, it was precisely this audacity that fueled my desire to expand my horizons and ascend in my professional and career journey. This week I've come to realize that our potential is often underestimated, We are, in essence, innovators, capable of pushing boundaries and effecting change. In truth, none of this would have been achievable without the strength of teamwork. Together, as Team "Bee Friendly" comprising of Bonginkosi Masuku - MBA GIBS Candidate , Rubala Thangaraj, and Priscilla Mayeza (Pr.Sci.Nat), we have made it to 2nd place in the Global Sustainability Challenge. It's a victory fueled by dedication and collective effort, hard work pays off. I have strong faith in the 2024 Climate Leadership cohort to make a positive impact on global climate action issues. Matthew 19:26…….but with God all things are possible. The implementation of SDG’s is possible. #TakeActiononClimateChange&makeadifference. Together, we have the power to shape a sustainable future, and to leave a lasting legacy of progress and prosperity for generations to come. Special thanks to GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science), TIAS School for Business and Society, Carla Irene Koen our Mentor, University of Exeter, Arup, Jorandi Scholtz, Carla Goosen, and Tanya Dos Santos. #God’sCheeseGirl
