Setting the Stage for ProbonoH2020 Interventions: Understanding Our Living Labs 🏢 ProbonoH2020 is transforming six European districts into Green Building Neighbourhoods (GBNs) 🌱. Our Living Labs in Madrid, Dublin, Porto, Brussels, Aarhus, and Prague are where we’re testing innovative solutions for energy efficiency, sustainability, and social inclusivity. 💡 Before we begin, it’s crucial to understand where we are. That’s why our baseline evaluation, led by CARTIF, is so important. 📊 This assessment provides a clear starting point, guiding us to tailor solutions to each Living Lab’s unique needs, ensuring impactful, sustainable outcomes. 🌍 🔍 Why This Matters: - Benchmarking: Sets a reference point to measure impact. 📏 - Customisation: Tailors solutions to specific needs. 🎯 - Engagement: Involves local communities, fostering collaboration. 🤝 The baseline data will help us develop accurate models, create Digital Twins, and continuously monitor our interventions to achieve our sustainability goals. 🚀 The journey from baseline to breakthrough promises to pave the way for greener, more sustainable urban environments across Europe. ✨ Learn more about our baseline evaluation activities 👇 https://lnkd.in/dUzNXwVE #Sustainability #GreenBuildingNeighbourhood #Innovation #PROBONO #Horizon2020 #UrbanTransformation

🎉 As members of the Stockholm Material Hub we had the pleasure of attending one of their events last week titled #Decarbonization 2024: Advanced #Materials and #Technologies for a Sustainable Future. The day was filled with discussions on decarbonization through carbon capture and utilization, combining cutting edge academic research and examples of good practice from the industry. #ClimateChange is a multidimensional challenge and tackling it will take effort from all directions. We got to know about the challenges of carbon capture and bottlenecks in scalability, the importance of context for finding the ‘best’ solution, and new trends in material development and innovation. 🧩 As sustainability guides, we always strive to further our knowledge and stay up to date with new developments facilitating the transition to a more sustainable society – and this event definitely left us with a lot of information and appreciation for the complexity of issues at hand. Finally, as passionate advocates for intersectoral collaboration we believe that nurturing the connection between the industry and the academia is of utmost importance – you never know when someone’s PhD project is going to become the next breakthrough product on the market. 👩🎓👷♀️👩🔬 ‘Getting to know the latest research on decarbonization firsthand is a privilege. It is clear that the path to decarbonization is not a straight line, but a complex web of interconnected challenges and opportunities where we are all needed.’ (Paula) ‘The field of sustainability can seem daunting since there is so much to learn and the pieces of the puzzle keep moving at a very fast pace – but that is also the fascinating thing about it and events that bring together many experts are really enriching and impactful in reminding us about why we are doing this in the first place.’ (Martina) 👏👏Thanks to SMH, especially Jiayin Yuan, Mirva Eriksson, Baltzar Stevensson, and Jing Ai for organization, the event sponsors for enabling such interactions, and the incredible speakers who brought their expertise to Stockholm: Erik Dahlen, Christophe Duwig, Elise LORENCEAU, Mattias Karls, Lars Friberg, Niklas Hedin, Marius Hingel, Anders Lyngfelt, Anders Grinrød, and Anders Lundblad. #XyloSweden #SustainableFuture #CCUS #CDR #networking #collaboration #CarbonCapture

Are you curious about the global market opportunities for cutting-edge climate technology innovations in the Proptech sector? Last week, the Recotech Breakfast brought together CRE forerunners for an inspiring and vivid morning seminar that brought up-to-date information on Sponda Ltd's portfolio-level actions in climate resilience. In addition, PT1 provided an insightful overview of the European market and opportunities to invest in transformative real estate technologies. 🌱 What does this mean for the members of Rakli and the built environment sector? The loss of biodiversity in parallel with climate change is an urgent call for all of us to act now, to mitigate climate change and drive portfolio resilience. Learning about sustainability actions from pioneers like Sponda is the key to getting ahead of the curve. In addition, close collaboration with pan-European Proptech ecosystems and investment in green transition technologies through PT1's professional selection will contribute to this goal. 🤝 Proactive collaboration is urgently needed to make a difference. Contact Rakli, Sponda, and PT1 for further discussion on how to proceed. On that note, ⬇ 🗓 Save the Date – Recotech 2024, November 20, 2024: Recotech reconnects with Slush as a side event on 20 November at Messukeskus in Helsinki! #Proptech #Biodiversity #GreenTransition #Resilience #Slush #KIRAIlmasto Recotech Finland Business Finland Ympäristöministeriö - Miljöministeriet - Ministry of the Environment of Finland KIRAHub (KIRA-InnoHub ry)
