It has Always been a story of love between I and Slb. around 9 years, being at university, among top students, professor was explaining how this company works at the point of dreaming to enter the company. Passionate for Field/ Rig jobs, I knew slb could help me to have this experience. Passionate for learning New technologies, New systems, was even surnamed by one of my teachers by EASY LEARNER, I knew that slb could give me intensive trainings. Entering first in work environment, I began assisting experienced consultants in a slb top leading domain( well logging data interpretation, geophysics) knowing that wireline acquisition was the first slb business line after its creation. With the same spirit of slb, I even succedeed in how to use best geosciences worldwide software first by myself ( Petrel, Techlog) through researches. And now in MI Swaco, a slb business line which has best drilling fluids, solids controls services worldwide. After, all these, experiences, I will Say that, If you want to work for schlumberger/ slb, you must have it your spirit, believe in God, work hard, don't limit yourself, don't stop even if you fail. I was slb, I'm slb, I will be slb #we are slb

i listened to this on my last day in boston on an old mattress in an overheated room with ants before departing. i just spoke with someone about my upcoming thoughts about my future. things to consider: the maritime academy has 1 in 4 actual outcomes: 1. get in and the thermite is a viable option 2. get in and thermite is not a viable option 3. not get in and thermite does work 4. not get in and thermite does not work the time in the academy is 2-3 years sludge / thermite may cost me 9 years, as what it took for a proxy. the things to consider are: * am i okay with that time cost? or could i be doing something else that makes me money or allows me to focus on health and God. * if the focus is to know what problems i want to solve, then work a job that allows me that free time (i.e. patent clerk, security guard, administrator, HR) * OR a job that exposes me to so much information so quickly that i lower the barrier/gap between the desire of this specific knowledge acquisition and me having it in my brain. that is how this person recommended me to view this decision. but what can i do in the meantime to test out if thermite works or not? - CMJ Song: The Absent Sea by Meltt

OPINION: "North Sea semisub awarded days in 2024 to-date has totalled a mere 1,468 days, with Norway accounting for 1,195 days, and the UK 273 days. The second lowest period of awarded days was 10 years ago when 2,930 days were awarded, with the best year in the last decade being 2023, when Norway awarded 7,158 days and the UK 3,524 days (totalling 10,682 days equating to 29.1 rig years). "There are no outstanding semisub requirements in the North Sea with a 2024 start date, however RigLogix currently records four rig tenders (three in UK waters and one in Norwegian waters) pending award for work anticipated to commence in 2025 and 2026, totalling 910 days. Additionally, there is tentative demand totalling 13,803 days across the UK, Norway, and Ireland. "Excluding Norway (a niche market, commanding a premium compared with its British, Dutch and Danish counterparts), North Sea semisub day rates are some of the least compelling globally and have been on a downward trajectory since 2022." OCIMF was pleased to represent and attend the International Marine Contractors Association's (IMCA) Global Summit in Utrecht, The Netherlands earlier this month. The two-day summit had been designed to bring industry together to explore current issues, share best practice and debate possible solutions. The programme was an engaging mix of interactive panel discussions, keynote speeches and presentations with subjects ranging from an analysis of future energy markets, the future demand for offshore vessels and sustainability. Day 2 focused heavily on the human element including engaging talks by Todd Conklin on Human and Organisational Principals (HOP) and an impactful final keynote ‘Last Breath’ by Chris Lemons, the saturation diver who survived on the seabed following a severed umbilical. Thank you to IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) for hosting this engaging event. We look forward to further collaboration on these important industry issues.
