Just another day… I’m kidding😂 After months of research, I had the incredible honor of presenting our findings at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (ICITA’24) in 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮! Our paper explores smart environmental monitoring within IoT frameworks, where we used Wi-Fi to measure ambient temperature. With the ESP32 chipset, we examined the accuracy of temperature predictions and how CSI reacts to different heat sources. Essentially, we took the concept of 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗶-𝗙𝗶 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, with 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱, and made it a reality! 💡 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: • Our 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 achieved an impressive 𝟵𝟰.𝟳𝟱% accuracy in detecting heat sources. • The 𝗟𝗦𝗧𝗠 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 we fine-tuned reached a mean absolute error as low as 𝟬.𝟮𝟰 for temperature prediction on focused datasets. • This research showcases the potential of Wi-Fi as a cost-effective, scalable solution for real-time, smart environmental sensing. A huge shoutout to Talal Shaikh for his incredible support and guidance throughout this journey. The presentation was a success, and I’m excited to see where this research leads next!

Efforts are being made to utilize the sensing outcome for better outcomes that can support health wellness in a personalized manner. To make it possible, the interfacing of IoT and AI is essential to support the approach of "from sensing to sense". Such if interlocking of 5th and 6th generation sensing seems an effective and efficient approach to managing health is a better way. To explore this approach, we are invited by Frontiers in Nanotechnology (IF =4.1) to support "Thoughts Leaders in Nanotechnology" by articulating a perspective. With the help of Hirak Mazumdar, Ph.D, SMIEEE, MACM Kamil Reza Khondakar, Ph.D Suparna Das, I was able to project the need and aspect of Sensing to Sense Approach. https://lnkd.in/dbBUMfkz Article Title - Aspects of 6th generation sensing technology: from sensing to sense It was really a great experience.
