The past two weeks have been packed with meetings, presentations, and seminars as a part of our expansions to EU markets. As part of the Narada team, I was delighted to engage with customers and partners, especially discussing the most challenging aspect of any project: on-site implementation. I firmly believe that the Greek market holds significant potential in the BESS/clean energy sector, and I am truly honored to be part of this movement providing insights on possible risks and approaches to make projects successful. Thank you to all partners and just human beings we met with, whether for in-depth discussions or brief chats.

Apostolos Panos , Chief Commercial Officer, was a guest speaker at Solarplaza Summit Greece, where he spoke about the current landscape and challenges of the energy market. He emphasized the central role of storage in the future of the energy sector, with investments in stand alone or collocated BESS with RES projects. These solutions are the ideal way to deal with increased merchant risk, which will also call upon investors and credit institutions to modify their business plans. In this process, it is necessary to maintain conditions of regulatory stability and transparency, in order to fully integrate storage solutions into the system and achieve the targets set in the NECP, towards the country’s energy transition. #PrincipiaEnergy #EnergyTransition #SolarplazaSummit

At Vindr we actually think beyond the mandatory 1%. Many local communities are worried by a wave of planned new wind power developments, so it is important to have face-to-face meetings and hear their concerns. This way Vindr can develop, build and operate wind farms that help our nation become fully renewable-based and also deliver impactful benefits to the neighbourhoods.
Different countries currently have various "tolerance fee" systems. Did you know that in #Estonia 🇪🇪, local #governments can use up to 1% of a wind farm's annual revenue for the benefit of the #community and its #residents? 🤓 Up to half of this amount is distributed among people living within 3 kilometers of the #wind #turbines. The rest can be used by the #local #government for whatever is most needed in the area. For example, last year, wind farm fees were collected in four wind park areas in Estonia, with additional funds allocated to three more where projects were under construction. ⚡️Interestingly, this system, which values local residents, serves as a model for other countries! Read about how Estonia's experience is shaping the future of renewable energy in #Sweden and beyond. > #WindEnergy #Vindr #RenewableEnergy #GreenEnergy #Estonia Marko Viiding, Ph.D.

💡 Today's Eesti Päevaleht has thoroughly analyzed how prepared we are in Estonia for the transition to renewable energy and what are the different scenarios. Sunly is working towards covering as wide a spectrum as possible from energy production to ensuring consumption. Among other things, we see that in Estonia, we need to consider the electrification of existing heating sources. Peeter Raudsik, Sunly's Head of Regulatory Affairs, believes that the current price of district heating will decrease for consumers in the future through electrification and help reduce the sector's carbon emissions. "Using heat pumps, in turn, reduces heat losses related to district heating, which in older grids can be up to 30%," Raudsik adds. Read more (in Estonian) ⬇
