Inspiring Innovation: Reflections on Startup Forum 2024 July 2nd, Renaissanc.IO was energized by our recent participation in the International Startup Forum 2024, a pivotal event for Vietnam's innovation landscape. As one of the key speakers, we shared insights on "Technology Commercialization: From R&D to Market and the Role of Main Stakeholders: Universities, Enterprises, Government," aiming to bridge the gap between research and commercial success. The forum, convened by VNEI, Next Challenge Fund, BK Holdings, and VinUniversity, exemplified the growing synergy between Vietnamese and Korean startup ecosystems. The event underscored the potential for the rapidly expanding digital startups in Korea and Vietnam to establish a framework for exchanging advanced technologies, fostering a mutually beneficial ecosystem. VNEI's network of 65 innovation centers is laying a solid foundation for Vietnam's startup ecosystem, while the Next Challenge Fund is facilitating access to Korean markets for Vietnamese startups and vice versa. The universities from both countries play crucial roles in fostering innovation. Their academic-industry partnerships demonstrate the importance of collaboration in driving innovation. The forum was a vibrant energy hub with ideas flowing and connections forming. We left inspired by Vietnam's entrepreneurial spirit and the power of international cooperation. This energy and inspiration fuels our commitment to driving innovation and fostering cross-border collaborations. The future of tech innovation in Vietnam is bright, and we're honored to be part of this exciting journey. The potential for future collaboration between Vietnam and Korea is immense, and we're filled with hope and optimism. The latest Next Generation report by Startup-Verband and startupdetector indicates a positive trend in startup formation. During the first half of 2024, Germany experienced a 15% increase in new start-ups, suggesting an overall trend reversal. The software sector is especially booming – one in five new startups are in this field, more than ever before! Increasing digitalization, the high demand for innovative software and the use of artificial intelligence in particular are driving this development. Start-ups in this area are developing new solutions that enable productivity increases and efficiency gains.
