The event will unpack key insights from the recently published report series, ‘Future Fit Food and Agriculture’, which reveal that less than 2% of the food sector’s annual revenues is needed per year to mitigate ½ of global food system emissions by 2030. Speakers Morgan Gillespy, Alex Andreoli, Emeline Fellus, Owen Bethell, Milindi Sibomana, PhD and Luke Pritchard will explore the financial implications of the food sector’s #NetZero transition, as well as the influence of existing and emerging voluntary standards on sustainability regulation. Launch of the Sustainable Development Report 2024: The SDGs and the UN Summit of the Future! 🌳 💧 Since 2016, the global edition of the Sustainable Development Report (SDR) has provided the most up-to-date data to track and rank the performance of all UN member states on the SDGs. A group wrote this year’s edition of independent experts at the SDG Transformation Center, an initiative of the SDSN. It focuses on the UN Summit of the Future, with an opening chapter endorsed by 100+ global scientists and practitioners. The report also includes two thematic chapters, related to SDG 17 (Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development) and SDG 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture).
