“Back to basics”. That was the underlying theme of the recent McDonald’s Japan Convention I attended, and I think it has a powerful message for all of us. It was a fantastic event, I must say. 5,000 plus individuals gathered to explore the future of this global giant in the region, and there were some insightful discussions around the room. Their own “back to basics” strategy, focusing on their core strengths like great products, a vibrant culture, and a loyal customer base, was definitely the highlight for me. I think we can all agree it’s easy to be swayed by the newest trends or challenges. And yet, all too often, the simple, foundational elements of our operations are what truly drive success. At Welbilt, we pride ourselves on a similar foundation. Yes, we always have an eye on putting innovation on the table, but we never lose sight of the fundamentals that put us on the map. Those key elements that truly reflect our purpose, commitment to quality and simplicity, and connect us with our customers - that is ultimately what keeps our team dedicated and our clients loyal. As we prepare to celebrate Singapore National Day tomorrow, I felt this was an important message to share. Let’s embody this spirit of acknowledging and appreciating our roots. To honour our heritage and the fundamental values that have shaped this great nation. Happy National Day, Singapore! And to my Welbilt team, may we continue to deliver excellence. Through my visit to the H&M store in Malaysia, I have noticed that they position and market themselves differently from their home country (Sweden). Why do they market themselves differently? Because of culture. Now I understand how important it is to consider the cultural factor when doing International Business. #MKW3444 #FieldVisit

Thanks so much to the Citi team for having us on the panel. By walking through some real-life cases, we also discussed how to leverage HK to “sail rightfully” to offshore markets and attract star companies to go inbound. Last but not least, I also explained the importance of tech investment, directly and indirectly, contributing to the territory’s long-term competitiveness in technology racing and further to national security. Singapore's skyline never ceases to inspire me. From this vantage point, one can't help but reflect on the journey that has transformed our city-state into a hub of innovation, resilience, and ambition. Every window you see here represents countless stories: of businesses striving for growth, employees pursuing lifelong learning, and a nation balancing between tradition and modernity. It's a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with purpose and vision. As we stand at the crossroads of change, with emerging technologies and economic shifts, let's ask ourselves: What new chapter can we write for our future? How can we ensure that our growth is inclusive and sustainable? Let this view be a reminder that success is built on collaboration, constant learning, and bold steps forward. What are your thoughts on what the next big move for Singapore should be? #Inspiration #Leadership #SingaporeGrowth #LifelongLearning

The Year of the Dragon represents natural courage, tenacity and intelligence; all qualities which were notable in abundance at Hung’s Annual Operations Conference. Janet Yuen, our CEO, revealed how tenacity and perseverance in understanding each other’s roles and challenges go a long way to enhancing interdepartmental appreciation and aligning perspectives. Ben Kwok, Head of Group Finance, emphasized that the beauty of digitalization likely helps to streamline the manual work of the store, making the team's life easier and more productive. We were reminded to be bold in embracing digital channels to maximise sales potential and long-term sustainability. While providing an opportunity for bonding and team building through various interactive games, the goal was to teach the team how to use minimal resources to achieve optimal results and foster innovation. This experience served as a reminder of how leveraging individual strengths and intelligence can drive collective success and cultivate a greater sense of unity. Thanks Sam Yip from Hong Kong Professional Training Centre for your enriching discussion, fiery approach and facilitating our journey to maximise potential for the Year of the Dragon and beyond. Marking my first-ever live streamed discussion on Xiaohongshu. It was an honor to be invited by Mr. Lei Kaiting @雷开霆(Ketin), General Manager of China Enterprise Affairs of Beiersdorf to share my insights and discuss the outlook for Southeast Asia’s logistics and supply chain industry, as well as my learning and working experience in Singapore. This exchange provided a deeper understanding of the ASEAN market’s immense potential and complexity. In recent years, as ASEAN-China trade ties deepen, ASEAN’s role in regional and global supply chains has grown significantly. Post-pandemic, many companies view ASEAN as a key component of resilient supply chains. The region is seeing rising demand for inter-regional logistics, driven by industrial consolidation, cross-border e-commerce, and growing local consumption. Meanwhile, infrastructure, policies, and regulations are rapidly advancing, fueling the sector’s impressive growth. A market of this scale and diversity inevitably presents both opportunities and challenges. Disparities in economic development, infrastructure, culture, and language necessitate a high degree of flexibility and local adaptability from businesses. Furthermore, the implementation of new technologies and policies will require time to prove their effectiveness and gain market acceptance. I am excited to witness how ASEAN continues to evolve and shape the future of global supply chains. With its dynamic growth and untapped potential, I belive the region is poised to deliver remarkable opportunities for businesses ready to adapt and innovate. #ChinaASEAN #GlobalSupplyChain #MarketOutlook
