The Good News: One of the worst & bloodiest regimes on earth, the Syrian Regime is no more. The Bad News: No doubt it is going to be replaced with something even worse. This is the reality of the Middle East & its 22 theocracies & dictatorships. But keep obsessing, and keep trying to destroy the one exception: The free state of Israel.

DPM&FM Ayman Safadi in an interview with Morning Joe, at MSNBC, today: - We need to focus on the real issue, which is the ongoing war on #Gaza, the absence of political horizons for peace, and immediately create a credible, irreversible path towards solving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. - Netanyahu shouldn’t be allowed to impose his agenda of war on all of us. - The #two_state solution is the only answer to the conflict. - We will never allow Israel or Iran to turn #Jordan into a battleground, and we will defend our sovereignty and the safety of our people.

https://lnkd.in/exJszgPH Brothers in arms: the renewal of Shia-Sunni resistance against Israel Jama’a al-Islamiyya’s return to the front lines against Israel may have minimal immediate effects but carries significant long-term implications for Lebanon’s sectarian dynamics and the divisive goals of western and Gulf-backed Sunni parties

Neocolonialism The Sykes-Picot Agreement established artificial borders that did not reflect the ethnic, cultural, or historical realities of the region. These borders were drawn by colonial powers with little input from local populations, leading to long-term instability and conflict. Example: The division of territories into zones of British and French control created states like Iraq and Syria without consideration for ethnic and sectarian divisions. This has contributed to ongoing conflicts, such as those seen in Iraq post-2003 and in Syria during its civil war.

Who benefits from the Middle East war? Not ordinary Israeli citizens or Palestinians. The US military and the IDF and their backers, the arms dealers/ manufacturers make huge, obscene profits, they are the beneficiaries of war. In fact arms dealers across the world, the merchants of death, are making mega profits. Millions die in conflicts or starve due to famine in poorly resourced refugee camps unnecessarily, whilst military elites and arms dealers prosper in the lap of luxury. The Middle East crisis could be solved tomorrow if the USA stopped pretending it’s an independent arbiter and allowed the UN to carry out its recommendation over many years for a two state solution. All the USA has to do is two things. Firstly stop blocking at the Security Council for a Palestinian state and secondly stop providing Israel with weapons. The support for the UN in setting up a new state for Palestine asap is overwhelming. Over 140 nations support the recognition of Palestine as a state. https://lnkd.in/ghAczuFj?

#SamvadaArticle Assad’s Downfall and the Fragile Dynamics of Power in the Middle East writes Anjali Singh As rebel forces surged into the capital, Damascus, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s 24-year rule came to an end in a historic turn of events. Daraa, which was once the epicentre of peaceful protests against Assad’s regime, became the centre of Syria’s violent uprising, which has killed over 500,000 people and displaced millions more. The regime’s fundamental vulnerability was shown when Assad’s forces were unable to stop the insurgents’ quick successes, despite long-standing assistance from Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah. The Assad regime’s demise challenges the realist theory of state power and signifies a shift in international relations. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gDHh9Tpy

Jordan's former foreign minister and the architect of its peace treaty with Israel, Dr. Marwan Muasher, reveals the brutal truth behind Western involvement in the region’s chaos. In this unflinching interview, Dr. Marwan breaks his silence on the West’s complicity in fuelling decades of conflict in the Middle East. He pulls no punches as he exposes how U.S. support for Israel has transformed peace efforts into a tool for domination, how the international community has turned a blind eye to war crimes, and why the concept of a "Greater Israel" is no longer a fringe fantasy, but a political reality unfolding before our eyes. From his unique position at the heart of key negotiations, Dr. Marwan sheds light on the deep betrayals behind the peace treaty, the unspoken agenda of American foreign policy, and how the West’s hypocrisy has led to a live-streamed genocide. The stakes have never been higher as Iran launches missiles, Israel retaliates, and the region spirals toward further chaos. This is not just another conversation about the Middle East—this is a reckoning. Will the international community finally be held accountable for its role in this ongoing crisis? Can Jordan, a nation balancing on the edge, continue to maintain its diplomatic tightrope? And most importantly, has the West—despite its claims of peace—been a silent partner in Israel’s expansionist agenda all along? https://lnkd.in/eNe42V_J
