To mix up the regular crypto-theme of this page, I am representing clients in their bankruptcy petition against Intus Hoiu-Laenuühistu (Savings and Loan Association). As brought out in the article, Intus is stuck in making payments to its depositors and we will soon know if there is grounds for the declaration of bankruptcy. The claims submitted by us and other depositors total half a million euros. The takeout? This is yet another indication that investors should be very cautious when investing into unregulated or barely regulated businesses. The Financial Intelligence Unit does a great job at checking if the company complies with anti-money laundering regulation, but they do not have the authority to verify the operations of the company that you are investing into. The risk is that in the case of bankruptcy you can loose all or a large portion of your investments.

💱The Lithuanian Registrų Centras (Register of Legal Entities) has recently delisted over 300 companies from its registry of virtual currency operators. This action is likely part of regulatory efforts to strengthen oversight and ensure compliance with legal standards in the digital asset sector.
