The new Unichiller CO2 is another milestone in environmentally friendly refrigeration technology at Huber. The new circulation cooler works with CO2 as a refrigerant. CO2 or carbon dioxide (also known as R744) is a natural component of the air and has been used in refrigeration technology since the 19th century. CO2 is a colorless gas that liquefies under pressure. It has no ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) and, with a GWP = 1, has a negligible global warming potential. For example, if 1 kg of CO2 escapes into the atmosphere through a leak in the refrigeration circuit, this is 3780 times less harmful than the common refrigerant R404A. In addition, CO2 is a so-called natural refrigerant that occurs in very large quantities in nature, meaning it does not have to be produced with great energy expenditure. In addition, CO2 has other advantages as a refrigerant; it is non-flammable, non-toxic and chemically inactive. The new Unichiller CO2 is therefore a 100% environmentally friendly alternative to cooling devices with conventional synthetic refrigerants. The Unichiller CO2 offers pioneering refrigeration technology and Huber's proven circulation cooler technology. Advantages: Proven Unichiller technology Environmentally friendly refrigeration technology Ozone depletion potential equal to zero (ODP = 0) Global warming potential negligible (GWP = 1) Very good energy efficiency Refrigerant is non-flammable and non-toxic High operational reliability Whisper-quiet operation (only 60 dB) Future-proof investment (not affected by the F-gas regulation) Intermass Fischer-Asia Pte Ltd Benjamin Chan Razis Halim James Chong Tiong Wai #ThermalTechnik

Sustainable Chiller and Heat Pump Solutions for Industry It was a great pleasure to visit our partners Euroklimat SPA last week in Milan for an R290 Free-Cooling Chiller Factory Acceptance Test. The development of their R290 Propane chiller and heat pump range is ongoing and extremely impressive. The performance of Propane which is a Natural solution is very similar to the old R22 which although was widely regarded as an excellent refrigerant for process cooling, was extremely damaging to the environment and banned at the turn of the century in new equipment. The industry has attempted to find alternatives since then that match this performance and have low GWP. Nearly 25 years on, it is very clear now that the permanent future for refrigeration has to be one based upon natural refrigerants such as Propane if we are going to halt climate change AND stop polluting the planets with PFAS chemicals. The IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change gives the 100Year GWP (Global warming Potential) of R290 as Just 0.02. Combining great performance, low energy consumption and the ability to add integral or separate free-cooling, R290 - a low cost, wide operating temperature band, low GWP and importantly PFAS free refrigerant, is very much part of the future. Euroklimat and TriSolve can provide you with a future proof chiller or heat pump solution to enable your company to deliver on it's sustainability credentials and play it's part in tackling the enormous problem of Global Climate Change. Become part of the solution. #coolingoutsidethebox 0121 663 6646 07366 701859 https://lnkd.in/ezh6S32m

"Every drop counts: Confronting the water crisis today for a sustainable tomorrow." The global water crisis is one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century. As the world's population continues to grow, the demand for freshwater is increasing, while the availability of clean water is declining. **Climate Change:** Climate change significantly impacts the water cycle, leading to altered precipitation patterns, more frequent and severe droughts, and the melting of glaciers, which are crucial sources of freshwater for many regions. As temperatures rise, evaporation rates increase, reducing the amount of available surface water and stressing groundwater supplies. **Pollution:** Water pollution from industrial discharge, agricultural runoff, and inadequate wastewater treatment is contaminating freshwater sources. Chemicals, heavy metals, and pathogens enter water bodies, making them unsafe for human consumption and harming aquatic ecosystems. This pollution exacerbates water scarcity by reducing the quality and availability of freshwater. **Caption:** "Every drop counts: Confronting the water crisis today for a sustainable tomorrow." *Things as an individual I will do* 1. **Improve Water Management:** - Implement integrated water recycling process in my factory premises to ensure sustainable use of water resources. - Enhance water infrastructure to reduce losses through leaks and inefficiencies. 2. **Water harvesting:** - Educate the labour about water harvesting and the importance of water. - Wastage of RO water will be used in watering plant. 3. **Protect Natural Water:** - Implement policies to protect the drinking water by not using that in coolers and in machines. 4. **Address Climate Change:** - Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by installing solar plant to mitigate the impact of climate change. - Planting more trees so that in rainy seasons water can directly go into underground level.

Are you and your business already doing your best to reduce and avoid emissions where possible? Great! Now find out why carbon removal is another essential puzzle piece to any corporate sustainability strategy: 📈 Taking the long view, we see that today’s concentrations of CO2 are the highest they’ve been for at least 800,000 years. This is mostly due to intense emissions caused over the past century, which have led to the current climate crisis. Deeply reducing greenhouse gas emissions is therefore essential to mitigate the effects of climate change. ❗ HOWEVER: Achieving stable CO2 emissions does not automatically result in stable atmospheric CO2 concentrations, given the long time that CO2 remains in the atmosphere. Even if emissions were halted today, it would take centuries for the majority of human-emitted CO2 to be naturally eliminated within the Earth's carbon cycle. To attain net-zero emissions by 2050, proactive measures must be taken to extract carbon from the atmosphere. 🛁 We could think of our situation as a bathtub filled with scalding water, but this water isn't just hot; it's a mix of chemicals that is throwing our planet's natural systems off balance. To tackle this, it's essential to turn off the tap that's constantly adding more water, but even that won't work unless we also unplug the drain to let it all flow out. Therefore, large-scale carbon removal needs to be deployed in tandem with other mitigation methods. 💡Want to learn more about using carbon removals for climate change mitigation?
