The legal industry is at a critical inflection point where law firms must embrace triple identities in order to effectively compete in the market: data company, technology company, and law practice. How do you leverage the numerous traits of these functions to maximize your firm's profitability? Technology needs to be at the center of them all.💡 With the right tech tools, firms can unlock efficiencies that translate directly into higher profits through: - Improved timekeeping - Enhanced collaboration - Streamlined billing and collections - Optimized resource allocation - Improved lead management Unfortunately, despite these opportunities to use technology as a revenue multiplier to drive significant profitability gains, many firms struggle to avoid pitfalls and fully leverage the tools they have. Taking full advantage of your software's features, providing ongoing training and support to help your staff use them effectively, and leveraging technology to attract and retain talent will help you advance your revenue streams. Centerbase's Paige Roncke explains how to integrate technology into your firm to unlock new levels of profitability. 🔓 Check out her article at the link. 👇 https://bit.ly/3Y82Cz6

How can big law firms better compete for talent and recruits? (Associate comp packages are well into the six figures; this is table stakes.) Recent grads in particular want to be supported by the firms they join...and not just to become better practitioners of the law. They want to be trained and coached on how to develop business <-- THIS is a critical skill they will need to advance, and one they didn't learn about in law school. Great discussion on this in this Reuters article: https://lnkd.in/eRnw5UJz

In an increasingly competitive legal market, law firm leaders must not only focus on winning new clients but also on 𝒎𝒂𝒙𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔. One of the most effective strategies to achieve this is cross-selling – offering additional services from different practice areas to existing clients. Yet, many firms underutilise this approach, leaving growth opportunities on the table. For cross-selling to become a firm-wide initiative, it needs support from leadership. Here’s how law firm leaders can make cross-selling part of the firm’s DNA: 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞:Encourage open communication between practice areas and create an environment where sharing knowledge is the norm, not just in pockets of the firm. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬: Invest in business development training so lawyers can confidently identify and present cross-selling opportunities to clients. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Offer incentives to lawyers who successfully cross-sell, ensuring that performance metrics reflect the firm’s broader goals. 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: Use CRM tools and data analytics to track client needs and opportunities for cross-selling. 🎯 70% of new client engagement meetings are unsuccessful 🎯42% of clients see no difference between law firms 🎯17% is the average global win rate for deals over £70,000 How are you enabling your lawyers to cross sell, multiply expert support and maximise client interactions to drive growth and sustainability? Talk to us today about our proven sales methodology for law firms - "Helping Clients Succeed" - to ensure no more opportunities are left on the table in any client engagement. #legalsector #lawyerdevelopment #professionalservices #crossselling #clientengagement
