⭐ Reflecting on an Inspiring Panel: Women in Tech at Sword ⭐
Last week on Wednesday, November 20th, I had the incredible honor of serving as a panelist for "Women in Tech" at Sword—a platform that amplifies voices, celebrates achievements, and strategizes for an inclusive future in technology.
Engaging in a candid discussion with fellow women leaders in tech was both inspiring and energizing. We explored how we can continue to create an environment where women thrive at Sword and beyond. From sharing unique career journeys to offering actionable strategies, the dialogue illuminated the collective value women bring to the organization and our clients.
🎯 Here are some of the most impactful lessons we discussed:
1. The Path Isn’t Always Straight - Career journeys often zigzag in unexpected ways. Embrace these shifts—they offer opportunities to leverage skills from past experiences and can lead to discovering new passions.
2. Do What You Love and What Fuels Your Passion - Whether it's solving complex problems, creating innovative solutions, or driving change, aligning your work with what excites you is critical for long-term fulfillment.
3. Support from Leadership Matters - Having leaders who encourage growth, provide mentorship, and advocate for inclusivity is a game-changer. It's essential for creating a culture where everyone can succeed. Thank you Douglas Frisby
4. The Power of Saying "Yes" - Taking on challenges—even when you're unsure—can open doors to transformative opportunities. But it’s equally important to assess each opportunity thoughtfully.
5. The Power of Saying "No" - Saying "no" to something that isn’t mutually beneficial doesn’t close doors; it can be a way of preserving energy for future opportunities that align better. Sometimes, a "no" simply means "not right now."
We are excited about moving forward together! This panel reaffirmed the critical role we all play in supporting and uplifting women in tech. By fostering a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and inclusion, we create pathways for innovation and success for everyone.
I’m excited to continue driving impactful initiatives at Sword and championing the incredible value women bring to the tech industry. To my peers, colleagues, and mentors: thank you for making this journey so rewarding. Let’s keep saying "yes," supporting each other, and leading with passion and purpose.
