The buying process sucks... and it's way too difficult to get a demo. I've spent years fighting this same fight solving the demo scheduling part of this gap. But there are so many opportunities to solve for in the buying process. In SaaS Sales, we spend a lot of time decoding vague or incomplete requests and figuring out what our prospects really needs—and honestly, that’s just another day in the life with a toddler. This request... ---> "Me want to watch a movie with the bunny, the little green people and succotash (but our little dude struggles with the S sound and often says an F sound 😂😅) " (The answer here is OG, Space Jam btw..) Is the same as this request... ---> "We want a modern end user experience, they can't find stuff today and reports are old." In both scenarios are followed by A LOT of follow up questions. Key take away here, if your a toddler parent currently decoding random items to figure out what is being requested, you're already a discovery expert. Woke up this morning to find out I'm on top of the leaderboard during my first quarter here at Lightyear. In addition to bragposting I'd like to share my EXACT process for how to crush your ramp period at a new SDR job This is what your day MUST look like if you want long term success in sales 1. First you must find the hardest Breakcore mix on youtube and listen to it every morning 2. After that load up some Kodak and Rod Wave 3. Mess around on R/Sysadmin a bit to get into your prospects heads. 4. Open up steam and see if there are any games on sale 5. Watch the Furher Bradley death scene from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and meditate on the transitory nature of human existence. 6. Open up salesforce and look at the SDR dash 7. Lunchtime! (2 hours) 8. Make 200 calls between 1-5pm 9. 5pm, time read all the messages you ignored all day and tell your coworkers you'll get back to them tomorrow 10. ... Profit? Selfie related: me saying "It's nothing personal kid," after teleporting behind my prospects and slipping a chili piper meeting invite into their shirt. #sales #sdr #outbound #anime
