Patriot Day is a solemn observance in the United States, held annually on September 11th to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 victims who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The day also recognizes the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, as well as the resilience of the American people in the face of such a tragedy. Patriot Day is a time for reflection, remembrance, and unity, as the nation comes together to remember those who were lost and to honor those who continue to serve and protect. How to Get Involved👇 There are many ways to observe Patriot Day and honor the memory of those affected by the events of September 11, 2001: Participate in Memorial Events: Attend a local or national memorial service or event. Many communities hold ceremonies, candlelight vigils, and other events to remember the victims and honor the heroes of 9/11. Observe a Moment of Silence: At 8:46 AM EDT, observe a moment of silence to reflect on the lives lost and the impact of that day. This is a simple yet powerful way to pay your respects. Volunteer or Donate: Consider volunteering your time or donating to organizations that support first responders, veterans, or families affected by terrorism. Acts of service are a meaningful way to honor the spirit of unity that emerged after the attacks. Fly the Flag at Half-Staff: As a sign of respect, the American flag is flown at half-staff on Patriot Day. You can participate by lowering your flag or displaying it at half-staff at home or at work. Educate and Reflect: Take time to learn more about the events of 9/11 and their aftermath. Reflect on the lessons learned and discuss them with others, especially younger generations who may not have experienced the events firsthand. #PatriotDay #NeverForget #September11 #Honor911 #UnitedWeStand

Comments, articles, arguments, debates are continuing on about the Democratic vice presidential candidate, Mr. Walz. Has he committed stolen valor? Has he used lies to get positions of authority? Has he use his lies to get financial compensation? So I have one for everybody. An individual who was a reservist, but never went overseas for the military. That individual claims that they were a military member assigned to a joint, special operations command, task force, and multiple combat deployments, and by multiple we are talking eight. This individual, and it is a true story, was a contractor for the department of Defense. The individual was not military overseas, in the Warzone, was never assigned to JSOC, and deployments (trips) were restricted to about 90 days in length. This individual through public forum, on numerous podcast, mainstream media, books has restated this absurd claim This individual has raised funds through a nonprofit, as well as made money off of these lies, and continues to do so Is this person person who is well known, also guilty of stolen valor, lack of integrity, and honesty? Or does this person just get a pass? Representing oneself as a member of the joint special operations command, or as a military member in combat when they never were and making money off of those statements, is that wrong? Is it illegal? Is it immoral? Please respond to that. If anybody needs more clarifying information, I would be glad to provide it.

On this Veterans Day, Feeding Georgia honors the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans and their families. These heroes have made profound sacrifices to protect our freedoms, and we’re dedicated to supporting them by ensuring access to the resources they need. In Georgia, many veterans face food insecurity—a struggle that impacts their health and well-being. Did you know? 13% of military households with children rely on food pantries to make ends meet. A survey of over 8,000 enlisted families found that households with children are more likely to face food insecurity. With one in eight military families with children needing charitable food distribution in the past year, supporting your local food bank is more important than ever. Together, through local food banks and raising awareness, we can stand with those who have served. GOLD BEACH Gold Beach is 1st of 2, of D-Day beaches to be led by the British and was situated between Port-en-Bessin and Ver-sur-Mer the central most area of the D-Day invasion. The objectives of Gold were to secure a beachhead, capture Arromanches to link with American troops at Omaha and to capture Bayeux to link up with Canadian troops from Juno. Similar to Omaha, Gold beach was split into 2 components, an ariel and naval bombardment to clear German defences and an Infantry landing to capture the beach. In contrast to Omaha, the bombardments were highly effective in wiping out most of the German defences. The navel bombardments from HMS Ajax and HMS Argonaut proved to be extremely effectively providing pinpoint accuracy to take out 3 of the 4 artillery emplacements. Infantry landing commenced nearly an hour after the American landings due to different tides. Rough seas made it tricky for Infantry landing craft, resulting in 20 of them being sunk or damaged by mines, however this did not slow British troops much as within an hour they had secured beach exits to push further inland and by days end they had completed their objective.

The 34-page decision from my district is both disappointing and unsurprising. There's no question that Congress needs to intervene here, and I am hopeful that there will be an appeal. I want to extend my appreciation to the Special Operations Association of America and the other excellent organizations for highlighting this issue to both Congress and the American public. The core of the district court's concern (second paragraph, page six) seems to be the initial Congressional budget estimates, which sharply contrast with the later, exponentially higher costs brought on by — it must be said — the unseemly advertising tactics of plaintiffs' attorneys (the contaminated wells at issue closed decades ago, so blasting stock imagery nationwide on repeat of healthy, young servicemembers born long after the clear legal criteria didn’t help). Side issue: veterans, seriously, we’ve got to talk about stock imagery…particularly around mental health and medications… By emphasizing the potential financial implications (runaway costs), the district court appears to have introduced an ‘artificial’ sense of ambiguity around Congressional intentions, thereby inadvertently reinforcing the Feres Doctrine and Qualified Immunity. This stands in stark opposition to what was unequivocally clear Congressional intent, which SOAA captured nicely. The analysis and writing of the district court align more with what I would expect from federal agencies and those entrenched in D.C. politics; regrettably, we are now witnessing this approach from the judiciary too.
Yet another roadblock for victims of the contaminated water supply at Camp Lejeune. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina issued an order that strikes the right to a jury trial for these victims, despite explicit language in the Camp Lejeune Justice Act (CLJA) ensuring this right. This move by the DOJ is unacceptable. We brought together a coalition of Veterans Service Organizations to send a letter to Congress expressing our collective concern regarding the DOJ and Navy’s latest attempt to avoid responsibility for the suffering endured by these Veterans and their families. We urge Congress not to accept this ruling. They must stand with Veterans to clarify their right to a jury trial, as intended by the CLJA's congressional authors. It's time for the government to step up and take responsibility for its actions. Read our letter and see how you can get involved: https://lnkd.in/gDdcJc5Y #camplejeune #justiceforcamplejeune #veterans #standwithourheroes #supportveterans #doj #navy

• One of the most active NGOs, Samidoun (“Steadfast”), a “Vancouver-based terrorist group,” was founded in 2012 — ostensibly to “assist Palestinian prisoners” — by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a designated terrorist organization in the United States, European Union and Canada. In practice, Samidoun is a front for the PFLP. The PFLP is an active terrorist organization, which participated in the October 7, 2023 atrocities, including in hostage taking, and shared celebratory videos and other material of the massacres online. • “Samidoun was designated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control as a ‘sham charity’ that serves as a fundraiser for terrorist organizations. Despite Samidoun's designation, and the Alliance's financial support of Samidoun, the IRS has yet to revoke the Alliance's tax-exempt status. Given this information and recent developments, it is clear that the Alliance's tax-exempt status should be revoked.” —Jason Smith, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee in a letter to the IRS Commisioner Danny Werfel • The continued acceptance of terrorist-affiliated groups such as Samidoun in Western countries inevitably leads to the kinds of outcomes that we have witnessed in recent weeks, such as the pogrom in Amsterdam and the pro-terrorism riots in Montreal. When Western governments do nothing, the situation keeps deteriorating. —𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐬
