Fun Group Activities for Children! Yesterday I spoke on the importance of children engaging in social activities with their peers. Today we'll be discussing on some group activities children can engage in when they are together. Helping children develop social skills and teamwork is essential for their growth. Group games and activities are superb ways to achieve this! Here are some fun ideas: 1. Treasure Hunt: Organize a treasure hunt where children work in teams to find hidden items. This activity encourages problem-solving, cooperation, and communication. 2. Relay Races: Simple relay races can be loads of fun. Children learn to support each other and work together towards a common goal. 3. Building Projects: Give kids building blocks or simple materials and ask them to create something together. It fosters creativity, teamwork, and collaborative problem-solving. 4. Drama and Role-Playing Games: We did this a lot growing up. Acting out stories or playing roles in a drama helps children express themselves and understand different perspectives, enhancing empathy and cooperation. 5. Group Puzzles: Working on a large puzzle together teaches kids patience, sharing, and the joy of achieving a goal as a team. Encouraging children to engage in these group activities helps them build important social skills. To help them learn other important life skills, register them in the virtual life skills bootcamp coming up in August. Check comments section for more details about the bootcamp. 🌟 Why Extracurricular Activities Help Your Child Grow 🌟 Extracurricular activities, like sports, music, or art, are more than just fun! They help children learn important skills that go beyond the classroom. These activities teach teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, helping kids grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. Let me tell you a story: Meet Rohan, a shy 8-year-old who loved to draw but didn’t feel confident talking in front of others. His parents enrolled him in an art club, where he learned not just about drawing but also about sharing his ideas with his friends. Over time, Rohan became more comfortable expressing himself, and his confidence grew. Now, he's not only creating amazing artwork but also sharing it proudly in front of others! Like Rohan, your child can benefit from participating in activities they enjoy outside of school. It’s a great way to help them discover new interests, make friends, and build self-confidence. 👩🏫 Ready to help your child grow? Enroll them in our extracurricular programs today! Let’s build a brighter future together. 🌟 #ExtracurricularActivities #ChildDevelopment #Parenting #Confidence #LifeSkills #EdTech #EnrollNow

Have you ever wondered why children have that magical ability to turn anything into a game? You give them a cardboard box, and suddenly, it's a spaceship. A spoon? Now it's a drumstick! It’s as if they see the world in a way we’ve forgotten. But isn't that precisely what we want to nurture? In this video, we see the wonders of imaginative play in action. From turning mundane objects into fantastical props to role-playing, these experiences are more than just fun, they’re foundational for learning. Did you know that play helps children develop problem-solving skills, social understanding, self-regulation, resilience, and even early math concepts? Yes, counting the imaginary friends at a tea party does count as math! So, what's the takeaway for us as educators and parents? Maybe it’s time to look at those scattered toys not as a mess but as a sign of a thriving, curious mind at work. Could it be that every spilt juice box is a chemistry experiment? Or that every tower of blocks is a future architect’s first skyscraper? Here are some playful tips for fostering this creativity: 📌 Let kids lead their play. It's okay if the "rules" don't make sense to us adults—it's their world, after all! 📌 Things like blocks, art supplies, and costumes can become anything with a dash of imagination. 📌 Sometimes, being a dragon in their knight adventure or the chef tasting their “special dish” is the best way to engage. 🎗 Remember, the next time you find yourself surrounded by imaginary tea cups or stuffed animals in superhero capes, you're witnessing some "serious brain-building in progress. " So, how do you encourage playful learning? And more importantly, have you ever been cast in an unexpected role during playtime? (Spoiler: I’ve been everything from a pirate to Burj Khalifa that got decorated for Eid!) 😊 #playbasedlearning #EYFS #EYFSTeachers #EYFS_ISCS_Sharjah #earlychildhood #Earlylearning #Earlydevelopment #kindergarten #teachers #leaders #parents

#teacherapprecationweek is coming up soon! Want to know what to "give" your child's teacher? Here are some tips from Dr. Fay of Love and Logic fame: "Another gift we can give them involves our own parenting. The most wonderful display of our appreciation is to send them students truly ready to be respectful, responsible, and eager to learn. No doubt this gift also benefits our children, who will rise to the top when equipped with such character attributes. In addition to letting our kids hearing our positive comments about their teachers, here is list of a few additional things you can do to help teachers help your kids succeed: - Ensure that they are doing chores without reminders at home, so that they know how to do assignments without reminders at school. - Allow very little time with technology, including video games, texting, surfing the web, watching videos, television, etc. These activities make it more difficult for our children to remain calm and content at school. - Have family meals together, where you enjoy each other and talk about all the things you’ve learned during the day."
