Countries in Central and Eastern Europe are making major investments in the field of sustainability. Dutch products, machines, services and knowledge are well known in this region. Central and Eastern Europe is also emerging as a new favorite for production locations. Due to disruptions in the supply chain from Asia, many European companies are bringing their production closer to home. One of these countries is also Greece. Together with our colleagues from Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and our Embassy colleagues from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria look back at the very successful Business Dialogue that took place yesterday in the Netherlands - an inspiring journey along business opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe. Like dr. van Schaik, Head of EU and Global Affairs Unit from Clingendael stated: “EU center of gravity shifts to the East, where strategic autonomy, de-risking, and resilience are the focus”. During this Business Dialogue, our Embassy together with our guest speaker Mr. Orgetas from C-Job Naval Architects (who already entered the Greek market 5 years ago) elaborated on Renewable energy, the Greek situation, and the prospects for Dutch entrepreneurs. We also had the opportunity to chat with many Dutch companies who were present and look forward to see them capitalizing on the opportunities the Greek market can offer.

🇳🇬🇧🇪🇱🇺 On September 18, the second edition of the Nigeria Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum took place in #Brussels, organized by CBL ACP. A delegation of high-level representatives from these three countries gathered to discuss business opportunities, challenges, and the future. Axelle Salvage, Cluster Manager of Cluster Maritime Luxembourgeois asbl and Coordinator of the European Network of Maritime Clusters (ENMC), participated as a panelist in the round table discussion "𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 & 𝙇𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩(𝙨) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙞𝙡 & 𝙜𝙖𝙨". The exchange emphasized the diversification of the economy in the context of the green transition. However, it also highlighted current limitations, as societies are not yet prepared to fully transition away from gas and oil. Once again, the discussion underscored the lack of support and incentives needed to make vessels greener, while the transportation of non-renewable raw materials remains necessary. The Forum concluded with a networking lunch, providing stakeholders with the opportunity to delve deeper into these topics. In her concluding remarks, Axelle Salvage emphasized the importance of collaboration and working together — an area where clusters play a key role. Clusters offer a platform for stakeholders to discuss, share, and collaborate, enhancing attractiveness and competitiveness not only for individual entities but for the future as a whole. The Cluster Maritime Luxembourgeois asbl is glad to have participated alongside of the Luxembourg Embassy in Belgium — Jean-Louis Thill. #Nigeria #Luxembourg #Belgium #Cluster
