If you are lucky enough to have time off over the holiday season, make sure you get some rest this Christmas break! The lead up to Christmas can be hectic with endless functions, finishing off tasks before year end and the dreaded Christmas shopping. This can lead you to feel utterly exhausted before the big day has even arrived. Allocate some time during this period to really unwind. Taking a step back isn’t about being lazy, it's intentionally giving yourself the space to breathe, think and allow your brain and body to slow down. When you take time to rest: ✨You get your energy back. Suddenly, the things that felt overwhelming feel doable. ✨ Your mind clears and you see potential challenges in a different way. ✨ You show up better for your team, more focused, patient and purposeful. ✨ Your brain slows down, allowing for more focused, creative thinking – all the amazing ideas start here. We often need to SLOW DOWN in order to SPEED UP. So, before the year ends, ask yourself… Are you making time to rest? Even a little bit can make a big difference. I will certainly be taking my own advice and unplugging from work to be present with my family. If you email during this period - please expect a response in January. How are you planning to rest during these holidays? . #adelaidebusiness #adelaidebusinesswomen #adelaideteambuilding #adelaidesmallbusiness #businessadelaide #professionaldevelopment #leadershipgrowth

It’s the Friday before Christmas, and let’s be honest—none of us want to do anything today. You’ve stared at your to-do list, maybe answered a couple of emails to look busy, and now you’re thinking about whether it’s too early to grab the eggnog. (Spoiler: it’s not.) But here’s the thing—this is actually the perfect time to rest, reset, and relax. Seriously… • Rest: Close the laptop. No one’s making big moves on December 22nd. Give yourself permission to take a break—you’ve earned it. • Reset: Use this downtime to reflect on the year. What worked? What didn’t? Don’t overthink it—just let your mind wander. • Relax: Lean into the holiday vibe. Spend some time with your family, watch a cheesy Christmas movie, or just enjoy not being in hustle mode for once. Here’s the magic: Rest isn’t just about doing nothing. It’s about giving yourself space to come back stronger. Taking this time now means you’ll be more focused and productive in the new year and more present with your loved ones this holiday season. So if you’re reading this while pretending to work—don’t. Shut it down. Take a walk, grab a snack, and let yourself just be. And if your coworkers are still in “let’s push through” mode, remember: Santa only brings presents to people who rest. (Probably.) Happy Friday, friends. Go rest. #HolidayMindset #ProductivityThroughRest #WorkLifeBalance

It’s like Christmas magic… except the only thing multiplying is the number on the scale. If your office looks anything like most around the holidays, you know the drill: ☕️ Coffee break? Grab a handful of peanut brittle. 🎄 Team meeting? Oh look, another tray of sugar cookies. 🥂 Office party? “It’s the holidays—I’ll start fresh in January.” You’re not alone. It’s two weeks of feeling like you have zero self-control. And by the end, you’re frustrated, bloated, and already dreading the January “clean slate” you’ve done a dozen times before. Here’s the thing: it’s not about self-control. High-achieving women like you have no shortage of discipline. You’ve crushed big goals in your career, managed teams, run households, and hit deadlines no matter what. But when it comes to food, fitness, and navigating a busy life? It’s easy to fall into the “all or nothing” trap. All-in on holiday indulgence. All-out come January 1st. So here’s a thought for you this Christmas: What if you didn’t need to “start over” next year? What if you could enjoy the cookies and feel confident in your body and with your choices at the same time? The problem isn’t you. It’s the approach. You don’t need another quick fix. You need a strategy that works with your life—holidays and all. If you’re tired of hitting plateaus and swearing “this time will be different,” let’s connect. Because this January? You deserve to step into the new year feeling healthy, happy, & ahead —not starting over.

🎄It’s the Monday before Christmas, and the holiday hustle is in full swing. Whether you’re traveling, wrapping up year-end work, or juggling festive plans, the chaos can feel overwhelming. This year, I’m celebrating gratitude, planning for the future, and leaning into practices that bring comfort and clarity. And I invite you to do the same. Take a moment to pause. Breathe. Think about how you can create a season of restoration for yourself. 💡 Curious about what it means to "Winter Well"? TIP 4/8: ENJOY THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH EASE AND INTENTION 🌟 Prioritise Rest and Reflection 🌟 A jam-packed schedule is like an overloaded circuit—when too many devices are plugged in at once, the system becomes overwhelmed and shuts down. Similarly, when we try to do everything, we risk burnout, leaving no energy for what truly matters. Prioritising rest and reflection is like flipping the switch to reset the circuit. It allows you to unplug unnecessary commitments, recharge your energy, and focus on powering the moments that bring the most joy and meaning. This Christmas, consider how you can create space—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally—for what truly matters. By intentionally creating space, you ensure that your system stays balanced and capable of handling what’s truly important. Why Rest and Reflection Matter: 🎄 Taking time to recharge helps you navigate the season with more energy and joy, rather than stress and fatigue. 🎄 Pausing to reflect helps you reconnect with what’s most meaningful, guiding your decisions and actions during the holidays. 🎄 Just as a circuit functions best when it’s not overloaded, we thrive when we create room to breathe, recharge, and focus on what truly matters. How to Prioritize Rest and Reflection: 1️⃣ Block out periods in your calendar for rest, whether it’s a quiet cup of tea, a walk in nature, or simply time to do nothing. 2️⃣ Take a few moments each day to reflect on the things you’re grateful for this season. This simple practice can shift your perspective and bring a sense of calm. 3️⃣ Protect your space by setting boundaries around your time and commitments. Reflection Question: What’s one way you can create space for rest and reflection today? Feel free to share your thoughts below—I’d love to hear how you’re making room for yourself this Christmas! 🌱✨

27 Dec 2024- The period between Christmas and New Year is this confusing stretch where you forget the concept of time and responsibility. You float around in a haze of leftovers and wearing pajamas all day. But then—surprise, surprise—you start to miss the work structure you were so desperate to escape during the countdown to Christmas break. Could it be that we’re subconsciously addicted to work? Maybe. When we’re working, our brains are firing on predictable neuropathways, keeping us busy with deadlines, to-do lists, and structured routines. It’s like our brains are addicted to the ‘kick’ we get from crossing off tasks or sending a perfect email. Then suddenly—bam—Christmas break arrives, and those pathways get no stimulation. Now you’re stuck in limbo, overthinking things like, “Is it normal to eat chocolate at 10 a.m.? Yes. No. Maybe?” So, in this festive no-man’s-land, we spiral. But the good news? It’s not work we miss—it’s the routine. The trick is convincing your brain that existing without a schedule is also productive. Happy 2025

Finding Balance in the Final Stretch Before the Holidays As the holiday countdown reaches its final week, the pressure to finish everything can feel overwhelming. But here’s the truth: not everything needs to be perfect, and not every task needs to get done. This week, it’s about focusing on what truly matters—prioritizing the moments, people, and activities that align with your values. Practical Ways to Navigate the Week: * Decide What Matters Most: Take five minutes today to list your top three priorities for the week. Let go of the rest. * Embrace “Good Enough”: That unwrapped gift or store-bought dessert? It’s okay. Your presence matters more than perfection. * Build in Rest: Schedule small, non-negotiable moments for yourself—a quiet cup of tea, a walk, or simply breathing deeply for a few minutes. * Ask for Help: You don’t have to do it all. Delegate where you can and let others contribute. This isn’t just about surviving the holidays—it’s about managing your energy so you can truly enjoy them. When you honor your limits and focus on what brings joy, you create space for connection and calm. How are you managing this last week? I’d love to hear your strategies for keeping the season meaningful. #SelfCare #HolidayWellness #MindfulLiving #FocusOnWhatMatters Let's talk: · https://lnkd.in/dmFzbK8G

Let’s face it—the week before Christmas is a vibe. Between holiday parties, last-minute shopping, and dreaming of eggnog by the fire, staying productive can feel like climbing Mount Everest in snow boots. But as marketers, the hustle doesn’t stop! Here’s how to keep the energy up and actually get stuff done before you swap your laptop for a pile of wrapping paper: 1. Set Tiny, Festive Goals Forget the 50-point to-do list. Choose 2-3 tasks a day, max. Bonus points if you give them holiday nicknames: “Deliver Rudolph’s Campaign Deck” or “Draft Santa’s Quarterly Email Update.” Treat yourself to a holiday treat when you crush them. 2. Lean into Holiday Chaos The office (or Zoom) feels different this time of year—embrace it! Throw on a holiday playlist, wear your ugly sweater to meetings, or bake cookies for your team. Fun = fuel. Don’t fight the festive energy; ride the sleigh! 3. Schedule “Me Time” Like a Meeting Block off an hour every day. Bring your lunch and watch a Hallmark movie, go for a walk, or just stare at a well lit Christmas tree in blissful silence. Recharging now = showing up stronger when the new year chaos hits. The holidays only come once a year, so balance that “marketer on a mission” mindset with some merry vibes. Who knows? A little whiskey inspiration might just spark your next big idea. Cheers!

Sometimes the holiday season, often seen as the “happiest time of the year,” can feel overwhelming—and that’s okay. 🎄💙 The pressure to meet expectations, navigate family dynamics, manage finances, or cope with being alone can feel heavy. For many, loneliness during the holidays adds to these emotions, making it harder to maintain the ‘holiday cheer.’ 🎁✨ 💡 Remember: Your feelings are valid, and it’s okay to put yourself first. Here are some ways to navigate the season: 1. Treat Yourself: Enjoy your favorite meal, watch a cozy movie, or pamper yourself with a self-care day. 2. Stay Connected: Call or video chat with loved ones, or join virtual events to feel less alone. 3. Create New Traditions: Start something just for you—like decorating your space in your own unique style, trying out a new recipe, exploring a new hobby. 4. Volunteer: Helping others can bring a sense of connection and purpose. 5. Set Boundaries: Say no to things that overwhelm you and make time for rest. Take one step at a time—your well-being comes first💙

Time to wind down and reflect. Time for change and reflection Our Christmas and Holiday break is the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and refocus before the new year begins. Here’s why: 1. A Natural Pause Most businesses and routines slow down over the holidays. This break gives you a rare chance to step back from day-to-day pressures and evaluate where you are personally and professionally. 2. Reflect on the Year of 2024 • What went well? • What didn’t? • What lessons did you learn? Reflection helps you understand your successes, challenges, and growth, setting a stronger foundation for the year ahead. 3. Time to Refocus Priorities With fewer distractions, you can think about your goals: • Are they still relevant? • What needs to change or improve? • Where should your energy go next year? Refocusing helps you align your actions with your values and ambitions. 4. Mental and Emotional Reset A break allows you to rest, recharge, and regain perspective. It’s easier to make clear decisions and plan effectively when you’re not overwhelmed. 5. Space for New Ideas Slowing down often sparks creativity. Use this time to explore new ideas, strategies, or directions you may not have considered in the rush of daily life. Christmas break isn’t just a holiday; it’s a chance to prepare for what’s next. Use it to reflect, refocus, and start the new year with intention. #downtools #reflect #replan
