By 2040, Southeast Asia is projected to see a 60% surge in energy demand. Challenges for the region in building a diversified options of green and low carbon energy sources to support our regional economic growth are largely dependent on the availability of one or more of the following factors: - Natural resources for green energies from sources such as Solar, Wind, Hydro, Bio Waste, Geothermal to be harvested; - Technology and operational expertise to build and operate projects that can efficiently harvest these green energies; - National policies, regulations and infrastructure that enable new projects to be developed and for the energies to be efficiently distributed to where the demands are located; and - Financial capitals to enable new projects to be effectively funded.
