On this topic, I have very strong beliefs. Only those people who live amongst the trees with great knowledge of the trees can speak for the trees. This is very important as rights of nature issues come around. There is vast power and many billions, nay trillions, in the balance. We must be very, very careful with this experiment, and not open any colonial backdoors. (My term, please quote me when using)

Interesting how the best market score (highest global impact, and lowest uncertainty) is for tropical forest conservation..meanwhile deforestation in the tropics is of the highest magnitude globally. One might think, that the opportunity for climate change mitigation is born out of malpractice; a snake eating its tail. Leaving the tropics alone might be the solution after all...Meanwhile, we should want to see farming practices ranked higher in this graph (innovative solutions within existing croplands, and agroforestry lands to increase CDR impact, combined with higher certainty acceptance by the markets).

#NatureBasedSolutions are indeed the most effective solutions we have to tackle and revert the worst of the interlinked impacts of both the #climate and #biodiversity crises

A new study in Nature Climate Change reviewed the science underlying nature-based climate solutions.
