It's a day to assess our progress, acknowledge the challenges, and reinforce our commitment to a corruption-free world. At the Alliance for Integrity, our regional activities in Africa reflect this ambition. This year the annual commemoration activities focus on “𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦: A Critical Tool in the Fight Against Corruption” The theme will serve as a basis for all anti-corruption stakeholders to reflect and dialogue on the effectiveness of existing legislation and policies, as well as the impact of effective coordination between the investigative, prosecutorial and judicial systems for effective whistleblower mechanisms.
