October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and this year’s theme is “Access to Good Jobs for All.” Everyone deserves the chance to have meaningful work, including people with disabilities. In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness month it is important to recognize businesses that work hard everyday to create an inclusive environment. We want to honor our neighbor The Flip Side is the location of our Annual Event Legislative Breakfast on October 22nd from 8:00-10:30 am. Their mission is to create a workplace for people with disabilities, and they have created a sensory-friendly workplace for those who are neurodivergent. Everything at The Flip Side-from the lighting to the kitchen setup- was designed for the employees' needs and preferences. https://ow.ly/Yl8850TGWcZ #NationalDisabilityEmploymentAwareness #InclusiveBusiness #LegislativeBreakfast #WorkplaceInclusion #DisabilityInclusion.

As a Presidents Group member, Fairware actively participates in the #PledgeToMeasure initiative, which focuses on disability inclusion in the workplace. As part of this, we participate in the annual survey, publicly disclosing our data to promote greater accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe in fostering a workplace culture that encourages self-disclosure and recognizes the contributions people with disabilities make to our communities and workplaces. We know barriers still exist in employment, and by tracking and sharing our data, we hope to create more accessible opportunities for all. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. As of 2023, only 23.1% of people with disabilities are participating in the labor force, compared to 67.3% of people without disabilities (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). These numbers highlight the need for greater access to employment opportunities and inclusive work places. At NILP, we're committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve financial stability through employment and education. Let's work together to close this gap! #NationalDisabilityEmploymentAwarenessMonth #InclusiveEmployment #InclusionWorks
